Swift played fine considering his time on the floor. He played pretty good D but wasn't aggresive enough on the boards. I like Diop's game but there's no way he should get more shot attempts than Stro. Coach Frank decided to go with a smaller lineup for most of the second half, so they kept shooting jumpshots out there.

i wonder what stro did that pissed frank off?</div>

I thought Stro got a fair shot tonight, he just didn't do that much with it.
</div>
Fair shot meaning they don't try to get him involved offensively, they just throw him in for some rebounds. They never give him the ball. WTF are you talking about.
</div>

Fair shot meaning he got put into the game and did jack-shit. No rebounding, no real anything. He didn't do anything particularly bad, he just didn't do anything that well either.

You see, there are other things a player can do on the court without scoring points. Don't come at my opinion when all you care about is looking at a boxscore to see who scored. F***** incredible...
</div>

i'm not trying to blame this on anybody but stro, but swift doesn't produce on offense without the ball. he doesn't hit the offensive boards or move without the ball all that well. he needs to be given touches in the post or faced up 15 feet from the basket. he has nice moves and a jumper he just needs the ball.

</div>

I understand. The problem though is that unless he can do anything but score he doesn't deserve minutes; he's just a more exciting Malik Allen.

It's puzzling though, because Stro is supposed to be a decent shotblocker.

he's more valuable than malik because he can score in the post, thats harder to find than a big who can hit an open jumper. he's also a better defender even if he's not great. and he is a pretty good shot blocker, he averages 1 per game in like 15 minutes, which isn't bad at all.

Well sure I didn't bring up Malik to compare their offensive games, mainly I used him as an example to show why I think its fair to say that Stro didn't have a good game despite getting limited touches. Being: a player that cannot offer much except a moderate offensive showing doesn't deserve minutes.

So while I think that Stro didn't get used in the offense (in agreement with some of you), it's the other areas of the game that he didn't perform in that lead to him having a bad game. Still, I think its important to reiterate that I'm not talking about his general game. Mainly, that he was unimpressive during this one game.

i see what you're saying, i just don't think he was that bad this game, but we can agree to disagree about that. i think he isn't being used correctly (he has never been used correctly in his career). he needs touches in the post. he is the nets best scorer in the post, no contest, and he only got the ball down there ONCE in a game where the nets couldn't hit anything outside. now try to explain to me how that makes any sense whatsoever.

In terms of making "sense" I guess what we need to think about is "does it make sense to Frank." In order to be a Frank guy he needs to show an emphasis on the other areas on the court before he starts getting attention (scoring opportunities), or seriously knock down that mid range J (seriously. not like "yeah he can make it" but "he does make it," and Stro is merely capable). It's the same reason why Malik and Collins started over Sean and Boone earlier in the season; they knew the fastest way to their coaches heart

well if thats how it goes to be honest with you he's screwed. might as well get rid of him because without consistant touches he will never do anything more then he has done his entire career.

this game was such a pain to watch, the ups and downs and i havent been this pissed at the nets in a while, they let us down
