hot takes based upon on one summer league game (or many), probably have as much value as a 60 year old mechanic's used undershorts that have been resting at the bottom of a mud puddle in a pig pen for a month or so

but why let that stop us? so mine:

* Simons flashed no real PG skills. The offense was a mess so that's an excuse. But even he said he wasn't a PG so if Portland is counting on him to fill a PG role they might be set up for disappointment

* we might have seen why Little fell all the way to 25th pick

* Trent has shot selection that would embarrass Antoine Walker

* Hoard has a chance to make an NBA roster. it's small, but it's there

He is already a Pacer. Lin and Burke are just more experienced as well but not real PGs. I think we need somebody pass first

If they believe Simons is the PG that will take over as Dame gets older I say just roll him out there and let him learn. He looks so natural with the ball out there, I think he'll figure out being a PG and he'll be fine.

Good take, and I agree. Little is RAW so i'm not going to make a judgement on him now. We have to develop him.

I spent over $70 to watch that garbage! Back at the hotel now since I don’t care about the other teams. Ant looked great in the 1st half and not so good 2nd half. I think he’ll be fine though. This team they’ve put together for Vegas just flat out sucks. Good thing I get to see Jon Bones Jones tonight!

I still really want to seed Neil sign a backup PG like Lin and another big man like Joakim Noah. Also, wouldn’t be mad if Robinson got our other TWP contract. Then trade Baze+Trent for Gallo. Dip back into FA and go for someone like
Sefolosha.

I agree, I think the plan I laid out (I think Dwight is gonna be a Clipper, which is why I chose Noah) is our best bet to be a contender. Then like @BonesJones said before, once Nurk is back we can explore Whiteside+pick for OPJ.

I get that. I'm not worried about wins and losses in the SL. But Simons is on tract to be the backup PG, and I didn't see him display anything close to that. THAT! is a problem. The Blazers have 1 roster spot available, and to me, it better be spent on a TRUE quality backup PG.

But you got to look at the talent that is surrounded Simons with it really hard to tell what he can do with this group non NBA type players. Especially when there trying to show case what there capability.

I get what your saying, but I just don't see Simons as ready just yet as far as the PG position is concerned.

Devin Robinson looked like a much better prospect than nassir little
