Seriously, these guys need to realize nba teams want guys who move the ball and make open shots. Not guys who play 1 on 5 and attack the basket foolishly or throw up contested jumpers out of the flow of the offense. PLAY YOUR ROLE and you may make a roster.
Great sarcasm!

Can we also fire our Summer League GM?
I think with Olshey it's always about agents; he does favors for them by making a place for theei guys on the team and promising them playing time to highlite their skills. One result is they have to rotate playing time and some guys who can shoot really well like Daum and Hornsby don't always play. Note: this is total speculation by me.

See I disagree because I don't think the ability to handle the ball means you're able to play point guard. We had the same problem with CJ. They lack the ability to look for others instead of looking for their own shot.
I’m speaking on our roster though, would you rather have Hood or Trent play backup PG?

Great point. CJ has handles for days....and blinders for weeks.

CJ looks for his own shot first, second, third, fourth, and sometimes fifth before he finally will toss it to a teammate with 2 seconds left on the shot clock.

If the word on the street is true, I'd probably rather have Mario play the point.
Well, we will see how that goes, I’m not against having guys who can run offense at all. I still think we gotta bring in another PG, for injury insurance at the very least.

Word.

I think CJ could actually play PG, when he’s ran the team when Dame hasnt played he’s always looked different to me, like he actually passes sure he’s a scorer but, I almost feel like when he plays with Dame he gets in his mind that when he has the ball all he is supposed to do is score.

I get that. I'm not worried about wins and losses in the SL. But Simons is on tract to be the backup PG, and I didn't see him display anything close to that. THAT! is a problem. The Blazers have 1 roster spot available, and to me, it better be spent on a TRUE quality backup PG.
Well he going to have earn it and maybe that why he will be surrounded by veterans that can help with those duties. It also might force Olshey hand if him and Stotts don't think he ready take those duties yet and go out and get another PG. Yes I also like to see him getting more players involved as a PG but let how the summer league turn out. But I don't see a lot assist by him due the talent level around him.
