Stotts ain’t messing around in terms of rotations. Dame and CJ played 40 minutes each without OT. Simons didn’t touch the court.

I really wish I could feel better about this victory. I really do. We barely beat a team that has Tolliver and Grayson Allen in their regular rotation. We don't have the killer instinct to step on their neck when up by a dozen. When we get ahead in overtime, we lose our poise. Overall they played more physical and with more desire. Maybe we will do better going against some older teams. I hope so.
At this point my man, I think you need to be happy about every W we can get REGARDLESS.

That's right; I think we forgot to give credit to Stotts for listening to us again and not playing Simons. :) I think there may be some situations when we see him though.

I watch some late game and never seen referees call so many fouls it's just our game.

Watching the Rockets and Mavs. Let’s just say that Russ would have been tossed in the first quarter for being so demonstrative if he had our refs today.

Trent only played 26 minutes. Shouldn't that be 46 minutes?

Sure does seem like pretty much every team in every game has to score at least 125 to be in the game. Not sure that is much of an indicator right now in this league.
Certainly not now the way these games are being called. Now if the refs loosen up and let them play a bit more defense as this tournament continues, you might see lower scores.

This team is likely to never advance with Stotts as the coach. The team defense is still horseshit. We shouldn't have had to squeak by for the win with a roster like this.

Que a board member saying how bad our roster is and that Memphis is much more talented and that Stotts is making due of what he has. SMH...

How about just watching the games and see what happens. Our roster isn’t bad and Memphis isn’t more talented. If the Blazers had had Nurk and Zack all season, they would have a playoff spot locked up. Now, they have a tough path to go, but they took a big step tonight. I think they get the eighth seed.

We're better than just making the playoffs despite Stotts' porous playoff record.

Just reporting I was able to watch a Blazers game! Old habits die hard though I saw nbatv on the guide and went “f it will be blacked out!” Then remembered I have the channel now!

ps man they tried everything In Their power to give that away today!

Not saying we were great, but I just went through the entire comments section and y’all overreacted when the Blazers went down. The Grizzlies are a tough and gritty team. They make you earn it.

What I mean is that one game doesn't change the facts that I base my opinion on.

A fact never changes. The only variable is how the facts are interpreted. One person could say the stats are terrible while another might think it's great and yet another be right in the middle. So point is, it's just you sharing your opinion which is fine.

Portland was a +10 when Nurk and Whiteside played together with dame, CJ, and Melo. Of course it’s a limited sample but not bad considering Whiteside didn’t play particularly well.

Melo looked good at the three but I wouldn’t say Kyle Anderson was much of a test. It’ll be interesting to see how they defend Boston. Do you put Melo on Tatum? This is where Zach’s versatility comes into play. I could see them going zone as well since Boston isn’t that great of a shooting team.

The Ariza absence will be magnified against Boston. Tatum was a complete dud in their first game, but he torched the hell out of us earlier this year.

I can't wait until we play the Rockets and the teams combine for 400 points. Rockets chuck 80 3-pointers against our defense, but we score 130 points-in-the-paint/second-chance points because they have no answer for the Blazers' size.
