I don’t think anybody is saying he can’t impact the game......but better than EVERY OTHER CENTER IN THE LEAGUE is just nonsense in my opinion.
YOUR correct! Just not between affect/effect!And you know the difference between your and you’re.
Bringin’ that CNTRL C/ CNTRL V heat...FAMS!just for comparison sake (I'd screenshot bbref but they have re-formatted and their website is kind of bollixed right now), Jokic, Gobert, and Embiid this year and Nurkic last year
PER: Embid 26.0....Gobert 21.6....Jokic 25.0....Nurkic 23.4
TS%: Embid .593....Gobert .698....Jokic .604....Nurkic .570
FT Rate: Embid .545....Gobert .722....Jokic .277....Nurkic .442
Reb Rate: Embid 21.6%....Gobert 21.7%....Jokic 17.6....Nurkic 20.2%
Assist Rate: Embid 17.3%....Gobert 6.2%....Jokic 34.3%....Nurkic 17.9%
block rate: Embid 3.7%....Gobert 4.9%....Jokic 1.9%....Nurkic 4.2%
winshares/48: Embid .203....Gobert .223....Jokic .209....Nurkic .189
Box PM: Embid 5.2....Gobert 3.6....Jokic 7.6....Nurkic 3.7
these stats are not perfect but they are a decent representation of impact and efficiency. To me it's really hard to argue objectively that Nurkic is 1st. Looks more like he's 4th to me, especially considering he's played 1 game in the last 18 months. He needs to put together a healthy season before he moves up that list, IMO
That gives a good look, and I would say those are the top 4 centers in the league. Who rounds out the 5th spot? Also, Nurk does get a little X-factor of just being back and firing up the team. The fact he could beat up ANY other player in the league in a cage match carries something.just for comparison sake (I'd screenshot bbref but they have re-formatted and their website is kind of bollixed right now), Jokic, Gobert, and Embiid this year and Nurkic last year

All these centers are pretty good but look overall performance that's includes playing both ends and there's only 2 of them is good at both ends that is Nurk and Embiid the others are with good on offense or defense not both.I realize I short-changed KAT by not putting him on that list. Here are his advanced stats:

even playing on a bad team, he crushes Nurk in PER, TS%, winshare/48, and BPM. And he even has a higher assist rate. Nurk is quite a bit better defensively, but Kat is much better on offense. In fact, if you added KAT to that list of 4, making a top-5, KAT would probably be the best offensive C. A 7' C who takes 8 three's a game, shooting 41% on them, while adding 4.4 assists is an elite offensive weapon.
offensively, it would probably be KAT, Embiid, Jokic followed by Nurk and Gobert. Defensively though, it would be Gobert on top with Nurkic 2nd. Embiid would be a close 3rd. But Jokic and KAT would lag quite a ways behind. And it's still important for a C to be a defensive force in the paint
