:reading: OFFICIAL BLAZERS' GAME NOTES

• Friday's meeting will be the second of two games between the Trail Blazers and the Grizzlies during the 2019-20 season. Memphis leads
the season series, 1-0.

• The Grizzlies lead the Trail Blazers by 3.5 games in the Western Conference standings. Portland must pass Memphis or be within four games back at the conclusion of the eight seeding games in order to force play-in games for the eighth and final seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.

• LAST MEETING: The Grizzlies took down the Trail Blazers, 111-104, in Memphis on Feb. 12. CJ McCollum led Portland with 23 points (9-25 FG, 3-9 3-PT, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one steal, while Brandon Clarke led Memphis with a career-high 27 points on 12-of-14 shooting (3-5 FT), to go with six rebounds, one assist, two steals and one block.

• CJ McCollum has scored at least 20 points in seven of his last eight games against the Grizzlies, including two games of 40-plus points. McCollum is averaging 20.9 points per game against Memphis for his career, his-fifth highest average against any team.

• Anfernee Simons had a season-high 22 points (7-12 FG, 6-7 3-PT, 2-2 FT) to go with seven rebounds and one assist at Memphis on Feb. 12. It was the second-highest scoring game of his career, and his six 3-PM were one shy of his career-high (seven, Apr. 10, 2019 vs. Sac.).

• Ja Morant finished with 20 points (9-23 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, nine assists and one steal in his first career game against Portland on Feb. 12.

Great to come on the forum and see a @Darkwebs game thread.

Welcome back goat.

As for the matchup, just judging from what I saw in the scrimmages I think Collins should start.
Yeah, if Stotts goes with Hassan with Nurk instead, I will be surprised and dismayed. Our starting lineup (as shown above) and our bench both look better than Memphis. I think we got this.

I voted with everyone else BUT we were four losses behind the Grizzlies going into the March 12th game against them. Kings, Pels, and Spurs had 1 fewer loss than us. If we’d lost that game, we probably wouldn’t have recovered esp with a 6 game road trip looming. With this CURRENT schedule, there’s no pressure on us to pass Memphis and our two extra games played is an unfair disadvantage to the Pels and Kings esp since Pels won the season series. Ok I’m changing my vote.

HES BACK!!!!!

You dont know how close we all were to straight up destroying each other!!! Thank God our superhero is back!~!!!!

Yeah, if Stotts goes with Hassan with Nurk instead, I will be surprised and dismayed. Our starting lineup (as shown above) and our bench both look better than Memphis. I think we got this.
Brandon Clarke is better than anyone on the Blazers' bench. Tyus Jones and De'Anthony Melton are far better than Simons and Trent.

That doesn't change anything I posted.
I think it might because we haven't seen our bench rotation with a full playbook yet....and in my view....Mario is way better than he was earlier...and now Ant has found his shot for the first time in ages.....you may be right but I don't think either team knows this as a certainty at this point....Hassan didn't come off the bench with the second unit either...we essentially have a bigger bench than we did all season

Brandon Clarke is better than anyone on the Blazers' bench. Tyus Jones and De'Anthony Melton are far better than Simons and Trent.
I don't think Jones or Melton are better than Trent. Clarke is really good and I know this is comparing apples to oranges but he is not markedly better than Hassan, he just isn't. Their rotation in my opinion will not be better than ours. Also I think Nas will get some PT and I think he is going to look really good. I also don't think Ant will play.
