I've got say that makes me feel better too. It just didn't add up. He's really seemed happy to be a part of the team.

That makes me feel better, i really don't want to trade sergio.
Uh, KP said exactly the same thing about ZACH just a day or two before he was traded - LOL KP will do whatever is best for this club, don't believe that BS for a second.
Sergio Rodriguez is not being traded any time soon, Trail Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard said Friday morning, despite a report in a Spanish newspaper that Rodriguez and his Spanish agent, Jose Ortiz, are demanding a trade.
"We like Sergio, and we are not in any discussions,'' Pritchard said. "We want to see this team, and we want to see this team grow. It's awfully early to be even talking about this stuff.''
....
Pritchard said this is an "old story" and that internally the issue has "passed". He said he chooses not to deal with Ortiz, instead opting to talk with Rodriguez's American agent, Herb Rudoy.

The best fit for Sergio is New York. They don't have a PG on that roster! Mardy Collins sucks. Chris Duhon sucks. Nate Robinson is a 5'8" SG. Coach Mike needs a PG to run his system and Sergio fits that bill.
David Lee is the player I would target. Obviously he's worth more than Sergio, we have enough pieces to throw at NY. If we could come out of this month with David Lee and Gerald Wallace, KP should anointed Mayor of Portland.
Lottery team.
*UPDATE AFTER PRACTICE: Sergio is upset. He had a 20-minute sitdown with Pritchard, then spoke about his frustrations about playing time. He didn't necessarily ask for a trade, but he made it known he is having a tough time dealing with his situation. More to come ...
P.S. His leaving the bench last night was to use the bathroom.
Trade Blake and let Bayless/Serge fight for starters minutes. I am really starting to go on the anti-nate train
But get on quickly, it's getting more crowded every day.The best fit for Sergio is New York. They don't have a PG on that roster! Mardy Collins sucks. Chris Duhon sucks. Nate Robinson is a 5'8" SG. Coach Mike needs a PG to run his system and Sergio fits that bill.
So you think Portland is a lottery team as currently constructed? Or you think the loss of Sergio and his 5-10 minutes a game is enough to send the team to the lottery?
I hope it's the former, because if not you've gone even further off the deep-end. I didn't think that was possible.
Having a point guard that can't shoot in D'antoni's system is about as useful as having a fast-break point in Portland's half-court system...
Trade him. He is no better than any other european the team has had since petro. Maybe we can get a couple draft picks.

No, i think it's a Title team as currently constructed.
I think it's a Lottery team as currently coached.
Yeah, that Sabonis was a real stiff.![]()
You're right forgot about him. He doesn't really count. He didn't have to prove himself. He was already a star.
When did Chris Duhon learn to shoot, I'd like to know?
We do not need 3 players that deserve PT at every position...
Except at C. Two to play the other 81 games.
What, no mention of Sam Bowie or Bill Walton's feet? tsk, tsk.

David Lee isn't going to be content to come here and be Aldridge's caddy. He's good enough to start in the NBA, so he's not going to welcome being a long-term reserve. The first chance he has to leave via free agency, he will. And he may agitate for a trade long before that...like Sergio is, but with much, much greater justification.
In any case, if we deal LaFrentz, Outlaw and Frye to Charlotte, I don't think Portland has the trade chips to get Lee. Rodriguez is certainly not enough, and I don't think even adding Webster is enough. Would you want to deal Fernandez, Bayless, Batum or Przybilla? I wouldn't, not for a player who wouldn't to stay on the team.
