Cavs got Spencer Hawes for Earl Clark and two second round picks. Are you fucking kidding me? Nice job towing the line and not doing shit Neil.

Your telling me we could not come up with some package that rivaled that. It is clear the organization does not feel this team is a contender and is happy to just let the season ride out.
Yes I am telling you that we could not come up with a package that rivaled that, because what Philly wanted was picks and to not add salary for next year. Ohh I could make up some fantasy team trade that on paper would give some Philly fan a boner, but GM's aren't playing fantasy league.Your telling me we could not come up with some package that rivaled that. Does this mean you wont be making any more trade threads involving hawes?
Drat
So Philly is looking for expiring contract for Hawes from the Blazers.....You are GM, go
Cue jeopardy theme
Dallas is so stacked with talent for him to play with and still leftover to send to us! Awesome looking forward to the drivel.
Trading Robinson or Leonard for Hawes at this point would be a long term disaster and a short term meh.
Keith Bogans of Boston has a perfect size contract. Give Boston a couple pieces like Robinson and Wright or Leonard and Wright and you probably got a deal.

Why does Boston want either of those guys?
Are you suggesting that Leonard or Robinson is not worth Keith Bogans and some second round picks? Your probably right they aren't but still got to make the effort.
It's "toeing the line." Not "towing."Cavs got Spencer Hawes for Earl Clark and two second round picks. Are you fucking kidding me? Nice job towing the line and not doing shit Neil.

Just sayin'...
Come on, the original poster has a good point. 2nd round picks?? Those are basically throw away garbage....and we have to have future 2nd rounders in SOME year.
I would have given up Mo Williams for Hawes.
I think maybe you need to realize that what Philly wanted, we didn't have.
This team was set up to take advantage of FA in 2015, and to appease their fan base by improving enough to say they made the playoffs. Not what I would have done, but that's what it is. So now you probably have purgatory for a bit. Not good or bad enough to do anything. Honestly, I think the Blazers know their fan base is fine with that.

Who exactly are we going to sign in 2015? LA and then who? Resign Lopez and Matthews? Who do we get? Basically it is resign Aldridge, Matthews and Lopez and hope McCollum, Lillard, Robinson, Crabbe etc develop or lose LA and start rebuilding around Lillard. It seems to me that right now without major changes this team will be a middling playoff team for the next 5 years?

I see that your very high on Leonard. You think he will be starter material say in like 2-3 years?

I'd really love to know what Olshey's plans are going forward
If it's keeping the same starting 5 next year..... we're fucked.
