Only one I got sick of was Nate. I knew the days were numbered for the rest, but I didn't have much confidence we'd get an improvement except over Cheeks. He was not a good coach. At all. Nice guy though.I've watched the majority of games for 30 years. Fans have bitched about how bad Billups, Stotts, Nate, Cheeks, Dunleavy, and PJ were.
Who was the last coach we had that lived up to your standards? Adelman?
Right. So you go get one of those guys after they prove they're good. But often nobody knows if they're going to be good! Half the excellent coaches in the NBA I never heard of before they became coaches. The guy in Utah. The guy in Boston. The guy in Memphis. The guy in OKC...

Think it was more about PJ the person than it was about PJ the coach?I agree with all of this. I'd add PJ in the same category as Cheeks, at least that's what I thought then. Now that I look back at it, I may have been wrong about PJ being a bad NBA coach.
Runner up:the absolute perfect image of the olshey era
You can really feel the love. These two had an undeniable connection.Runner up:![]()
Hey!Only one I got sick of was Nate.
Then he'd better get him a lot more talent here...Joe would not fire Chauncey, they're both Buffalo's.

Agree…Joe was clear from the beginning that this year didn’t represent a finished process. Then he'd better get him a lot more talent here...
PJ could never grasp coaching pros differently than college guys. That was his primary downfall. Good coach. Just zero clue how to handle grown men who make millions.Think it was more about PJ the person than it was about PJ the coach?

How come it's rarely the first quarter and if it is the next three are bad enough to negate the first quarter?Credit where credit's due: Chauncey always gets one awesome quarter per game out of this team. Shame it couldn't be more than that.
Agree 100% as stated above. It is just bad optics. Are you focusing on the game if you’re constantly chatting with the opponent? Pat Riley wanted to rip your throat out not yuck it up with guys. I hate it.I sat 3rd row behind Calabro last night and watched CB, every time a Raptors player was close he was talking their ear off, even FVV after the tech, didn’t see Nurse do this kinda shit all game. I don’t like how chummy CB is, like his job out there is to make friends or make sure the other team’s players are doing well. Let’s see some fire for once.

Where does ownership rank? Used to be one of the best in the game?we have a bottom 5 coach in the league.
we also have a bottom 5 gm in the league.
terrific combination.
I don't agree about Dallas, but a breakthrough is exactly what Billups should be striving for.Take away the two Dallas games and what does our record look like for the past month?
I mean, I loved the Dallas games, but they look more like Dame going supernova than a team breakthrough.
This has been the statement for the last 15 years. It’s really hard to judge CB with the rosters he has been given; everyone and their mama knew we didn’t have enough size.
My thread stating that Cronins tenure has been a complete disaster outlined this; his attention was to get “longer, more athletic, bigger” and we did the exact opposite.
That said, I think when new ownership comes in, we should cut the cord and move forward with a new GM and coach.
