I don't think they deserve to make it anymore.

Yeah, LaMarcus is injured, but something is just fundamentally wrong with the team. Not sure if it's coaching or players, but they're not trying anymore.

I hate to say it, but I hope they don't make the playoffs. Making the playoffs would only reward the kind of basketball they're playing. Losing basketball.

It would make it more difficult for Stotts to come back, plus they'd have a shot at winning the lottery. Also, who wants to watch this team get swept in the playoffs?

The chances of them keeping the pick (12 and above goes to Charlotte, right?) are slim and none.

Prediction:

Stotts will come back

Charlotte will receive the top 12 protected draft pick

I don't even want to think about the playoffs :sigh:

Hilarious. The meltdowns in here are so fucking sad.

Not really a meltdown, because it wasn't exactly hyperbolic, or crazy.

DOn't worry. My posts are called meltdowns, too. When they are exactly what you are typing.

I would be less inclined to melt down if the team showed even a modest amount of urgency in dealing with the collapse.

I doubt missing the play-offs would have enough of a financial impact to get their attention....but you have to start somewhere.

Anyone who has followed this team the whole season has the righ to "melt down." We have completely collapsed. It went south before Aldridge got hurt but him being hurt hasn't helped. We have just lost resoundingly to Charlotte and Orlando, two sub500 teams. We are playing with no confidence while the 6th thru 9th West teams are playing well. Memphis, Phoenix, and Dallas all have the tiebreaker over us. If you're not concerned, you're not paying attention.

To answer the question, if we get in, we get in. Playoff experience is necessary for the future of this team even if they get swept.

I don't think it's confidence. I personally think it's a 'decision' they've made.

What do you mean by "they don't deserve it?" If they win enough games to make the playoffs, then they deserve it.

I've decided I'm going to be critical now. I've had their back all season. That has gone up on flames along with their season

You said they don't deserve to make the playoffs. I'm pretty sure making the playoffs is based on record, not on spunk or whether or not you're a good person. I do call your conclusion crazy.

well, deserve it in the sense that they've played below .500 ball for a long time now. They stopped playing defense, stopped giving effort, and stopped showing like they care. Thats what i mean.

One can be concerned and not melt down all over this forum.

Yes they should. I was greedy earlier but now I just want 2 playoff games to go to. For me as a fan, nothing beat that playoff atmosphere. It's enough to have me buzzing about the game all day, yelling during the entire game and afterwards if the Blazers win.

And if I can keep going, I don't ask much from my Blazers, but a playoff win would be nice. Blazers didn't get by the first round when they played the rockets, but being at that game when Roy led the comeback has been the best memory of all the games I have attended for the past 5 yrs . . . I could use another one of those please. (Like I said I don't ask for much, at least I don't think so)

I would like a good showing by our team. I could be satisfied with that, ToB.

I think what needs to be understood, and KS touched on it... is that we are all fans... but people have different "thresholds" of tolerance towards how far they are going to continue being positive before getting worried. KS is worried. I'm now worried. We come off as negative. I'm not going to say "well, we are telling the truth" because in reality, the truth hasn't been completely written.

During the games, I tend to get emotional... and, if I may, I'd like to apologize for sometimes sounding like an asshole... I notice it, and will attend and rectify that. (Yuyuza, you especially. My bad.) I don't want to put up a thread announcing this, so I hope all of you can read that. It's funny, because every time after the games, I remember that it's just a silly game. But I need that to reflect on here. So again, if I may, apologies for my unwarranted actions.

It's all good, Strenuus. You are welcome to have an emotional response negative or positive in the way our team plays. Personally it doesn't affect me too much one way or the other.

Same. In my six years as a ticket holder, there is no better feeling than a playoff win. Do I want to see another 20 point comeback? No, I hope we don't ever get that far down in a playoff game again. However, that is the greatest game I've been to. I felt like my team could do anything. I have felt that way this year, too.....and I want to feel it again in the playoffs. They're capable of it.

What does it mean to "melt down all over this forum"? You might be misunderstanding people. People are concerned. We haven't played well since the first third of the season. People have every reason to be upset and express that without being attacked. That's what I think.

I'm sorry, but when did I "attack" you?

You never attacked me specifically. You made a general statement putting down people for "melting down." I stood up for the forum. And some people agreed with me.
