Well....to be honest Kay wasnt very far off. Who didn't think of Roberst during that exchange? I sure did. And that game was pretty important for those who actally still consider this team a legit contender. I never really have so it wasnt very surprising. Mo is always shaky vs Boston, and they always seem to run on him when they can. Its their formula to beat him and it works. I always wonder why more teams don't do it. Especially with Romine behind the dish. How overrated is that guy around here by the way, are you people serious?
The biggest question mark is what drugs Girardi was on with his pitching decisions last night. Comical at best.
Girardi lacks a feel for this team. I didn't understand why at 3-2 Nova couldn't pitch the fifth inning. The guy was the AL pitcher of the month of August. He had a little rough start to the game so that means he should be on that short a leash?
Forget feel, its basic lack of common sense from Mr NorthWestern. Why in Gods name to you bring Boone logan into the game.....to walk ortiz intnetionally. The dumbest thing i have seen since Torre didnt bunt on Schilling. Then throw in bringing Joba into that game actually expecting him NOT to suck....idiotic.
It was idiotic keeping Joba on this roster and not looking for another bullpen arm. Cashman has done nothing except to say he was againstt he Soriano move.
Dont get me started on Cashman. After all, I am just a hater and the destruction of the farm system and the countlless bad moves are just a figment of my imagination.
The idiot has never bothered to build a farm system. Yeah lets have 1300 catching prospects and nothing else.
Yea and those catching prospects are really paying off too, hu?
Romine stinks and it remains to be seen what Murphy and Sanchez become. This franchise better pray that Pineda isn't a complete bust and is ready to go in this rotation next season.
I stand by what i have said all along about that trade. Regardless of what becomes of Montero, Cashman should have been fired for that trade alone. Gross negligence is the phrase that comes to mind.
I've said it many times going back to ESPN posts of mine. Cashman has proven to be one of the worst GMs in the sport. It has been that way for years now. He has had a wide open check book from day one. Not only to buy whatever toy he wants but to also remedy the millions and millions in mistakes and busts. He wanted control of the farm system and the result is one of the worst in baseball. I can no longer listen to this moron go on with Francesa and blame everyone but himself. Gee Mike I just don't understand why Martin ran and signed a nice deal with the Pirates while we were trying to stall him.
The real shame about Cashman though is that NO ONE running the show now has to balls to can his ass.
