That was refuted.
the refute is wrong.
Jrue does not want to play in Portland
HOW DARE YOU CENSOR ME!?!?!Deleted both mine and Nates post for my reasons since i deleted my prior post. Editing didnt make sense. We all good.
? it is widely known that dame wanted to go to miami for 1) bam, 2) get away from portland during a messy divorce. his desire to go to miami had very little to do with jimmy
Agreed - its very uncommon for NBA stars to accept a diminished role. Look at Klay in GS - that didn't work there either and he won 4 titles.People like Dame have a hard time accepting or even realizing they are not the same anymore. You see many boxers fight well into their 40s. Can't blame them but my guess is Dame rehabs this year w/o a team and try to get one last non-minimum deal next summer. He will retire a Blazers but now is not the time
Newsflash - nearly all NBA players do not want to play in Portland.the refute is wrong.

Apparently not.

"While Lillard told Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports that he now believes Milwaukee "is the best basketball situation for me," he also explained that his interest in the Heat was related to his relationship with Jimmy Butler.
"We've always been in some form of contact with each other," Lillard said. "And I said it, initially I was like, 'I want to go to Miami.' He was a big part of that. It didn't happen. I'm here now. But our relationship will be the same. The same respect. It's just something that didn't happen. It was out of his control and mine.""
Who said that?LOL. You're gonna get crickets from a couple that said Jimmy had nothing to do with it. LOL
Well I stand corrected. Had always figured it was his bond with Bam from Team USA.Apparently not.

I don't think you're corrected. He said that Jimmy was a big part of wanting to go there, but like.... duh. Jimmy and Bam were the two All-Stars on the team. Some posters were saying that Dame wanted to play with Jimmy, and I'm sure that's correct, but he wasn't the MAIN reason. That's not what Dame said anyway. Jimmy was A reason. But I'm sure Bam was also a main reason. Spo was a big reason, etc.Well I stand corrected. Had always figured it was his bond with Bam from Team USA.
He even verbally said as much on multiple occasions that he wanted to play with Bam.
ExactlyI'd love to see Dame accept an assistant coach position for next season. Any discussion about rejoining the team as a player can be revisited a year from now.
Exactly two years ago today
Not stretching the payments, just the cap hit.Right. They still need to pay him $113 million: I guess they are stretching over 5 years.
"Haynes reporting," lol...Haynes reporting that Lillard found out from twitter just like the rest of us. Ouch.
I don't buy this.Apparently, Giannis is unhappy with the yhe Bucks for waiving Dame.
They HAVE to stretch Dame to be able to give Turner his contract. Not stretching the payments, just the cap hit.
They HAVE to stretch Dame to be able to give Turner his contract.
Wow his fortune cookie type of tweets are going to be epic now Lol
there are actual cronin fans?
why? he's likely the worst GM in the league
Newsflash - nearly all NBA players do not want to play in Portland.
Just something the team always has and always will need to navigate.
