Politics So he's not racist huh??

I'm always defending Trump apparently. I wish he'd hire me to straighten this out.

I'll be his new press secretary.

Back to the point....I just need to add a fuck Trump to every post I make and see if that changes the response I get.
Even Hillary would have done things I'd agree with. Fuck, used to watch Hannity and Colmes. I liked Colmes as a person a million times more than Hannity but probably only agreed with him 3 out of 10 times on average.

The context of whether it's mocking someone's perceived lies about their heritage compared to the context of mocking an ethnicity is the difference to me. That doesn't mean I'm justifying racism...

No, but you aren't doing anything about this racism. You are actually debating against it being racist so therein lies the problem. It's giving cover to a KNOWN racist who is currently in charge of the Nuclear codes.

I'm a liberal, but apparently I always defend Trump as well, even though I never have. I'm starting to become less biased, and more enlightened.

*Edit:* FUCK TRUMP. Hopefully that's seen. I was thinking about increasing the font size and changing the color but I didn't know where the line was between visibility and annoyance.

You like to put words in people's mouths instead of debating the merits of the argument.

While I am not a "lib" if you are driven away, I will not cry. Not sure how actually reading what the Navajo war hero had to say is lack of logic, but aren't you the dude who said liking cats made me unreliable? Or was that some other boy? Can't keep them, ahem, straight.

I like that she thinks the word “boy” is an insult or something lol.

Calling me Jerome or Tyrone is fucking racist

Curiosity has me! What is racist about Jerome or Tyrone?

I have a friend of about 60 years now, by the name of Jerome. He doesn't flinch when you call him.

Have another name Tyrone, as I recall his mama named him Tyrone after her favorite actor of the day, Tyrone Power. Never noticed a negative reaction to his name.

I am sure you have your reasons, but are they reasonable?

You need to check yourself. You speak in prejudicial slang all the time, but yet get offended when others do?

GTFO.

Sooo many hypcrites in this thread.....

With that said. I could care less and am not offended if you call me a boy, but the double standard is impossible to ignore....

So calling me Jerome, when you don't know my name is ok and not derogatory? Why does this need explaining? Ohhhh because it's you... nvm.

To be fair, calling me boy would be a much worse offense and certainly prejudicial. We call women girls all the time. Ever consider what they think?

When has calling a white guy "boy" been prejudicial? It's offensive, but prejudicial?

@crandc often speaks stereotypically of males in general. And as we know...

even stereotyping is akin to racism.

And who should be offended by a particular comment isn't necessarily up for you to decide. For as we have been informed...

P.S. It is up to the insulted, not the insulter, to decide what is or is not a slur.

How about, Yo! Jack!

How about "excuse me sir"?

How about not assuming what you think I understand and just speaking fuckin' English? :dunno:

You are not relating to us when y'all do this shit. But then, you aren't trying to relate to us are you? Why the fuck did I ask that question...?

Why the fuck did I ask that question

Because you seem to have a hyper sense of what is insulting, which you translate to racist.
Just trying to understand why. And why you think everyone else should already know about your hyper sensitivity.

I guess bottom line is, why do you think the rest of the world should really care about your hyper sense of racism

You still don't understand. Apparently you never will.

As to the original premise of this thread, Trump is so oblivious, unfiltered, entitled and, frankly, dumb, it's impossible to know whether he's being intentionally racist when he said the "Pocahontas" comment in front of a group of Navajos. He has diarrhea of the mouth and shit just flows out.

So you would literally walk up to a black person you don't know and say some shit like:

"Yo jack"

Or if you didn't know his name you'd say something like "Hey Tyrone"?

And you'd do that while expecting him to not be "hyper sensitive" about how insensitive you are?

Why not address him as a man and not with what you think he should understand?

Personally, when I need to approach a person I don't know, I usually say "Excuse me..."

But its an insult regardless, and this is basically proving many peoples points. Racial slurs are not black and white. It depends on the giver and the recipeints stance.

Secondly, I dont call women girls. Girls are girls. Boys are boys.
Men are Men and Women are Women.

Why would be calling you a boy be any worse than calling me a boy? Because your black?
That's reverse racism right there.

To call any man a boy is an insult, but I consider it prejudice because of the stance of the individual using the term.
