Politics So he's not racist huh??

Welcome to our community

When you use terms such as "reverse racism", you lose ground. There literally is no such thing. And YES calling a black man boy is worse than calling a white man boy.

Under the constitution we are STILL considered 3/5ths human.
Reverse racism is called Affirmative Action.

Being racist towards white people is just called “racism”

It’s not payback, and we don’t deserve it.

Well you missed the point then... I was not using the term against my friend in anger. My post was about taking a "negative" word, turning it around, and owning some of the positive traits about that word (like speaking up for yourself). I agree with you about using the word in anger against someone... it would make me just as guilty of perpetuating that negative stereotype.
You missed the point. I got yours.

You literally tried to make you saying that to a friend in jest the same as a man screaming bitch at her in traffic when he's angry.

Now you've expanded on that and make less sense.

Now if you use it in anger you're guilty of perpetuating a stereotype according to you.

I can't wrap my mind around the mental gymnastics being used to stop me from being able to say a word that you can say or Dviss can say.

It isn't context at all with you guys,it is agreed upon rules based on emotion.

There's some old phrase from some old tv show or song "make me a chicken pot pie....bitch"

Sometimes if my wife asks me if I'm hungry I'll say that. She doesn't get mad at all.

If she says something nasty to me and I ASK her why she's acting like a bitch I'M IN TROUBLE.

I think my new sexist name for liberals will be Womerals.

Yep, that's it.

Why? Nobody will give a fuck. You will probably reply in your negative way towards me asking what my plan is to solve it as always. You spend more time on here talking about petty issues than real ones and every time I have posted some real shit it just disappears because people view it but don’t reply meanwhile dviss and his ridiculous posts has everybody’s panties in a bunch. It’s just how it is

You like to take lil' pot shots at me without quoting my name. Put an @ sign in it bruh.

And the fact that you think you are the authority on things is kinda weird. You post some ridiculous shit in this forum dude.

So keep rockin' that PePe pin K? :irock:

True. But one instance is racist. The other is not.
Not always. For example, if I called you boy, and called a white male boy, it would mean the same thing. You may take it another way, but does that make it racist, or make you overly sensitive to a word?

No, I'm not saying it in jest to my friend either and I don't equate it to some guy screaming in traffic at all. If a word is used to demean someone else it's demeaning... the word boy is not demeaning in and of itself, but it can be used to demean someone. You can use the word bitch all you want if you're talking about a female dog, it's not a bad word per se, but why would you (as a man) call another person (male or female) that name? What does that word mean to you when you use it that way? In my experience if someone has called me a bitch it's because I've spoken up for myself or rejected sexual attention I didn't want... if that's being a bitch I will own it.

this pretty much sums up the whole thing....well said...inflection is also a trigger...the way you say a word to someone tells a lot about the intention

We shall have to agree to disagree.
One of he only ways to end racism is to give equal value and meaning.
We need to let go of history and understand our children growing up don’t know the history of calling black men boys.
When do we get past it so it doesn’t matter anymore?
Don’t say it should always matter because it can’t always matter if you want racism gone.

See above. We all need to get over the sensitivity

True racism is a legit concern but true racism is often undermined by the public crying holy midget over things not significAnt.
Like the topic of this thread.

I think it is much more important what the lady is doing, potentially falsifying her history for personal gain, than the president calling her pocHNtes.

To me the true racial discrimination was potentially falsey claiming. Heritage that isn’t yours for better personal gain. To me that is much more dangerous to let go than the president calling her Pocahontas.

Then there are even more legit and real concerns for me that trump(lol) racial slurs.
Like nuclear threat. Civil unrest.
The thieving homeless epidemic.
Many many things I would think would take a higher priority to fix.

Cool. Fine. I disagree but you're able to have your stance. I'm actually done with this topic now. It's a distraction. Y'all win...

MICHAEL FLYNN JUST PLEADED GUILTY!!!

Sorry. Done with this now. On to the FLYNN THREAD!!

And that's my whole point. Its all about context. There is no black and white. It depends one the user of words and the recipients and that was my point.

What a word means to one person doesn't mean it means the same thing to the next person, so there IS no black and white its all subjective.

Regarding the boy thing, I brought that up, because where is the line drawn?

When do we pull up our big boy pants and let the superficial shit die away and focus on the legit concerns of this world? (Not saying racism isn't a legit concern).

Name calling only hurts if you let it.

I'm sure we have all heard this....

Stick and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me...

We are becoming pussified because instead of dismissing the superficial and focusing on the important issues, we are trying to utopalize the country and that will not work.

In order to get past this we ALL must get past it. White people need to understand what words can be insulting and Others need to get over the words and dismiss them.

Anyone subjected to severe verbal abuse would tell you broken bones hurt less and heal faster.

Pussified? Oh fuck, just like women. How awful.

To be fair, calling me boy would be a much worse offense and certainly prejudicial. We call women girls all the time. Ever consider what they think?

When has calling a white guy "boy" been prejudicial? It's offensive, but prejudicial?
I call my son boy.

I do similair stuff. When dinner is great i say "female these portions are inadequate" women like it when we fuck with them.

As do I. I even say things like:

"I'm taking the boy to practice".

Or

"It's time to feed the boy."

I fear that would indicate feelings totally out of control. Help is probably needed.

Spiral off a humerus, you go into shock. Your ass will twitch so hard you will bounce like a basketball. Nobody has words that can do this, unless of course, you have no control over your reactions.

Circles again. You said you can say it to your girlfriend and it is like "You GO GIRL"

Apparently your intention when you say it matters but if I say it for any reason I'm obviously demeaning women.

Just say you don't want men saying it and quit trying to make a logical case for your opinion. You can't because whenever someone has said it to you it has been for a specific reason or two.

I say it every day to all of my coworkers. You can thank Jesse Pinkman for that.

You didn't answer the question... When you say it what does it mean to you? When you're calling a co-worker that name you mean it as an insult, right? Or is it meant to be a compliment to that co-worker? I have no idea who Jess Pinkman is.

Exactly. You have no idea about any of it. But you know I can't say it.

Not that it matters but to answer the question we use it like black guys use the N word with an A at the end as a greeting.

Like what's up beeee iii tch

Nope, still doesn't answer the question... you say "use it like" but you still haven't told me what it means when you say it? What are you saying about them when you call someone a beeee iiii tch with an A at the end? For that matter, how do "black guys use the N word"? What do black guys mean when they use the N word? And how would you have a credible opinion about how black guys think or how they may use the word without ever being a black guy? Would you ever call one of you co-workers (black or white) the N word? If not, why not?

You think every black guy means the same thing when they say it? Hmmmmm, stereotype much? I know they use it as a greeting. Why? Fuck me if I know.

Also why do you feel you know how I use bitch seeing as you're not a straight white male?

I'll call anyone any word in in my brain given the right conditions. Why wouldn't I?
I've called a co-worker a donkey raping shit eating uncle fucker before....... I'm sure you have no idea what that's from without Google.
