Did you get fired? Good job admins!
Stepped down about three months ago. Just now noticing?

If a non-Blazer fan pointing out the idiocy behind someone else's thoughts is trolling, well whatever helps you sleep at night.

Actually, no. I call it trolling when a non-Blazers fan comes to the Blazers board and says something stupid, like:
"I was actually mocking you and every other simple-twit that has their panties wadded up over Darius Miles and the Grizzlies, as if you guys are actually entitled to that cap space and above the principle of shitty luck."

Explain how it is stupid and why isn't a true, valid sentiment, sir Isaac Newton.

So am I safe to assume you have no stars . . . gold or otherwise?
I love your weak, cautious attempts at barbing me.

I am the one giving out the stars, and have plenty saved for myself.

Already did, but I have a funny feeling you won't entirely grasp it.

No, if you could just have a tantrum about it and put it all in capital letters, big font and bolded . . . maybe you might get you're point across better that way.

Want to cry about karma again?

Its like arguing with a fence post, waste of time GO

OK but he said Blazers would be screwing themseves by not dealing with Memphis because they have a PG the Blazers need so much.

Are you fucking kidding me? Where did I say the Blazers would be screwing themselves. I MOCKED MM'S POST AND IN IT SAID 'SCREW THE PG' AS IN 'SCREW CONLEY'. WHAT THE HELL IS SO HARD TO GRASP ABOUT THIS?

Doesn't that say that in his opinion, the Blazers need Conley so much?

No.

At the very least could you understand why MM would think that is what he said (because he said it . . . maybe poorly worded and not what he meant, but he said it) . . . and then JE jumps all over him for being slow . . . when in reality JE doesn't know how to express himself.

I gave him a calm response and he insisted on and the begged for the tomahawk in the form of horrific reading comprehension. So I gave it to him.

At least then, you don't have an excuse for ignoring it.

I'm crying about karma? Half your fanbase is up in arms about the Grizzlies doing nothing wrong, and I'm crying about karma. What a jackass, wow.

Pot meet kettle.

i agree that the blazers would be screwing themselves if they refuse to deal with memphis because of the darius miles situation.

do i agree with the way je has tried to get that point across? of course not.

Because the stupidity and irrationally of like-minded people is much more intelligent reading (for you).

I hope someone quotes this so shit-skins can see it.

That's the only card you have, 'teenager posting'. Funny how you don't (or can't) identify anything wrong with my actual thoughts.

relevant thoughts have proven to have no effect with you, so like I said before, like arguing with a fence post. So why bother? Like Rocketeer said, its the way you try to get your point across. The teenager reference is because the abundance of immaturity in most of your arguments/mindset/actions... hence the Noah reference.

Are you sure that's a 'JE' thing? Are you sure that isn't a 'BrianWheeler doesn't know jack' thing?

Cry me a river. I will post how I please and if you say something stupid (you have that down to a science), I'll call you on it. Simple.

Fuck Memphis.

They put 9 million back on our cap out of spite.

When's that lawsuit gonna happen?

On Topic: I'm not sure how I feel about Conley. I like him as a prospect. I don't look at him and think he's an obvious long term answer. He'd be a nice guy to have in the mix. Would he start over Blake?

Maybe.

I know I wouldn't feel all that comfortable dealing Blake and having to depend on Conley as the starter. But if we could some how keep Blake and get Conley and may the best man win, that would be cool.

you asked.. I answered. I'm not crying how you post, just dont bitch and moan if people call you on it too.

Show me where I bitched and moaned about people calling me on my posting.

youre right I should have generalized it more. "Bitching and moaning about everything" I'll correct that for you.

Anyway...

Back on topic with Conley, here's a rather unflattering analysis of his game:

Dribbling is surprisingly another area of concern with Mike. Under Hollins Conley averaged 2.2 TOPG which puts him in the same category as Chauncey Billups and Mo Williams but many of Conley's turnovers came off the dribble. In fact teams took to pressing the Grizzlies in the 2nd half of the season because of Conley's dribbling concerns. Most people have seen the video of Conley working on his dribbling before the draft and he still needs more work. With Conley's speed perfect control of the ball is required to take maximum advantage. Teams should be scared to press Conley not encouraged to do so. Part of this problem comes from trying too hard but not all. Conley needs to become a much better ball-handler to be a truly great PG. Once again it will take work and comfort with the speed of the game but it isn't as easy to cure as poor perimeter shooting. This weakness is the one that most worries me.

Conclusion:
Conley is not the ideal point guard. His size makes him a liability to post up guards. His defensive awareness needs to improve on the perimeter and his perimeter shooting needs to improve in crunch time. However his weaknesses can be improved on with hard work and experience and his strengths are world class. There aren't many point guards in the league who can stay in front of Conley when he gets moving but teams realize this and handle it two ways. They play off him to cut down his speed advantage and they pressure him before half court hoping to create an easy turnover. Conley's lack of size makes it difficult to get the ball over taller defenders too.

youre right I should have generalized it more. "Bitching and moaning about everything" I'll correct that for you.

Translation: Once again I was caught with my pants down in making a retarded statement that I couldn't back up and was dead wrong about anyway, so I'll now make a vague post about how JE is supposedly bitching and moaning when he isn't posting Barney-style. I still have yet to refute anything he says, because he is a lot smarter than me, and can only sputter about how immature he is as a result.

...

^ nice, like I said arguing with a fence post, I'm done with you kid.

No, its arguing with someone who continues to expose your duncery no matter what retarded gimmick you throw into the mix. I don't blame you for quitting, you weren't winning this battle.

I think I read this from Sodapop a few weeks ago

"Last word I win!"

Yea, but your stats compared don't tell the whole story. There is one key stat you are missing for PG, and it is one of the most telling stats of all. Free throws attempted. Mike Conley attempted 197 last year. Steve Blake shot 75. Which one do you think put more pressure on the paint for their team? The job of a PG is to penetrate the paint, cause havok, and based upon defensive reaction, set somebody up or score themselves. When you shoot less than a free throw per game, chances are you are not attacking the paint like a PG needs to in order to be successful at the highest level of play.

Not to mention, Mike really was blowing up in the 2nd half of the season while he wasn't very good in the first. It was after the coaching change that Conley really started playing. Someone should show the averages after all-star break.

Jesus Christ. Is there anyway you kids can move this lovers quarrel into PMs?

Look, I'm viewed as a charter member of the Blake Hate Club, but I see almost identical statistics here.
One is viewed as a disappointing, yet up-and-coming PG with some potential who just hasn't broken out yet. (IIRC he's 21)
One just had by almost all accounts a career year, and is 29 with 6 years experience in the league.
