So what's next for the roster

How much cap space do they have? Since he's coming off his rookie season, isn't Houston possibly limited in how high they can go to match?
I think Houston doesn't have his bird or early bird rights. I read that from Berger during the Aldride fiasco. Houston can only give him 2.6 mil

No thanks. Rather trade for a younger player like harkless or sign mcdaniels.
Was thinking the same, by it at least doesn't shackle us for the following season in terms of cap. Some of our younger wings could learn from him... <shrug>

Mo Harkless would be intriguing, fits the new model. What would the magic want in return though?

When the Bucks finally realize thar Giannis is a SF and not a SG/PF I'd make a play for Jabari Parker.

Rumors are the Trailblazers are looking to offer just over the MLE, they are rebuilding now with the departure of Aldridge, and KJM is right inline with their scope for the future. Portland is roughly 20 mil under the cap, don't be surprised if this happens soon.

Damn, that would suck. There is no S/T option here because all the really good Blazers are gone over highly over paid.

I say if anything, match any reasonable offer and voila KJ has a contract we can use to match money in a trade. I'd like to keep him but he could be a major piece in trading for a Lowry type PG with a 6m per year contract.

Young player with a very high ceiling is wanted everywhere on a team friendly contract.

It may be possible to nab Lowry himself with the right package!

Yeah it's just some kid saying that.

If you're feeling blue this article from Kevin Arnovitz might cheer you up.

Sums up nicely what I've been feeling ever since Wesley blew out his ankle. Sucks in the near term to see a somewhat promising team go up in smoke, but at least Olshey seems to have positioned the Blazers for maximum flexibility moving forward by not trying to cling to the past too tightly in the wake of Aldridge's departure.

Go get Joseph and McDaniel then roll into camp like that. More important this year to be top 10 in draft than good. Keep in.mind we have Dame under contract for 6 years. Take 2 to position for solid rebuild.

Those two would be helluva pick ups really

Don't know if Aldridge for Joseph is quite a fair trade, but I guess it's better than nothing. Right?

No, Spurs made him unrestricted.
Point
Mags' head

I wasn't really suggesting that there would be a sign-and-trade, just that we would sign one of their free agents after they signed one of ours, and that we didn't quite get the better end of that.

Well Bass is gone...signed by the lakers

I really wanna know what Olshey is up to because it's been way too quiet. I realize were rebuilding but we still need to be proactive in collecting assets.

Neil's track record is to go after cheap and inexpensive that no one else is bidding on.
