Shit it looks like I have to defend western civilization on my own.
Whack, dawg, dope, sick, beef - are all slang words that are only used when you are with your friends and would not use them in a conversation with someone important.
Color - only the United States spell it Color, in Canada it's colour.
Sneakers - barely no one ever calls them sneaker we just call them shoes.
Pavment - it's called sidewalk because it's a walkway on the side of the road.
Off licence - why would in not be called a liquor store, it is where you buy liquor.
Kit - make sence when a group of people dress up the same ex(army) its called a uniform so wheather your in the army or on the soccer field its a uniform.
Motarway - I am not sure why we call it the highway but I have to think it's because most highways are high off the ground?
Sweets - apparently both sweets and candy are used in the U.K because Beggsy refered to cotton candy as candy lace.
Pitch - a playing field is much more obvious, its a field that you play on.
The rest I can't really explain they are just called what they are called because it's right over here. If you said mate or rubbish over here people would laugh at you.
