The vast majority of spurs fans posts have been left undeleted or unedited. I would say 99% of them. Read through the threads, lots of trash talking. But when someone comes in and all they post is, "you're all fucking idiots" "you're all losers and your team is losers" and that's all they post in different threads I'm going to bounce them.

What I fucking care about is that we have a community where people can say what they wish. Banning people is a coward's way out of a discussion. We were ass-raped in San Antonio last night like a newbie in Brownsville. If some Spurs fans want to train us as a follow up while we're lying prostrate on the ground, so be it. Fight back or take the abuse and be their bitch. Don't run to the prison guard.

Beating their chest is fine. Personal insults and obscene pictures are not. People can get in trouble for pictures of people defecating on their computer. And I have been very public in my stance against personal insults. It's why a lot of us left Oregonlive. Years and years of personal feuds and insults with very little basketball discussion going on.

Again, read through the threads. Read all of the thrash talking that was left. Actually all of it was. I banned one person for personal insults and Nate banned one person for obscene pictures. We're not eliminating Spurs fans or saying anyone can't talk shit or give the Blazers or us fans a bad time for losing last night.

I'll tell you what, make a thread, put it up for a vote. If I'm hurting this forum or making it not enjoyable for people I will leave. That is truly the last thing I would want to do. If I've gone too power hungry and too full of my own importance I don't belong around here. I mod like mod and I don't see myself changing anytime soon.

Well, this is a forum where we discuss Blazers basketball. And we're playing the Spurs--not well, mind you--but that's who we're playing.

More opinions are superior to fewer opinions. Trolling is fine as those being trolled have the power to stop it if they don't like it. The last thing we want to become is some circle-jerk echo chamber where we just make ourselves feel better. I like to talk hoops. If those threads are peppered with insults, what's the big deal? I've been called names before.
