Any of the other names mentioned ITT are a definite downgrade from Stotts. I can’t believe Billups is seriously being considered. If we go with Hammond, I am done with this team for good.

Oh shit, Jason Kidd just owned up to his and copped to it and moved on without another incident that was anywhere close to similar.

Edit: Hitting a woman is completely unacceptable but hitting your wife in my estimation isn't even on the same level of sexual assault. Maybe that's just me and also we don't know the situation because it was settled out of court and Jason Kidd's situation was settled on the record with the court.

If it was quoted accurately, the fact he went public to me means his request wasn't well-received privately. Of course, he has a direct line to management.

He’s endorsed both Billups and Kidd so if it’s gonna be one of the two he’ll be good with it, even if he might prefer Kidd.

Honesty Dame should have very little say in the coach. His attitude is pissing me off. The team is not all about him. He is one player. The fact he feels this entitled to hand pick a coach a pretend to be a GM is ridiculous.

Lillard is the reason we had Nice Guy Stotts for so long. Dame needs someone who will teach him and be tough with him. He needs a Phil Jackson type who can take someone like Shaq and say “stop wasting your time rapping or you’re cut.” He can’t have the attitude that he owns the team and can just walk all over the coach and do whatever he wants if he is serious about winning a ring.

Just reading the tea leaves, but Woj is Neils mouthpiece, and Haynes is Dames. Earlier in the day Woj came out with the prospective names which didn’t include Kidd. Immediately after we got Dames public statements through Haynes endorsing Kidd.

We know Dame has a direct line to management. It’s likely he expressed his desire for Kidd and it wasn’t well received, which is why it went public through Haynes so he can put pressure on the FO. But the FO likely knows that Kidd is a bad hire. They just need to play the game the right way to not piss off Dame.

I actually agree with you. Personally I don’t want Jason Kidd. Not because of his past. But you gotta understand in this climate there’s a lot of social stances that takes priority.

Curious what the source is for this. Kidd never struck me as particularly strong at the strategic side of the game. I always saw him as more of player’s coach, in the mold of the moron that just got canned.

About Jason Kidd? No.

Why should we give him the benefit of the doubt? He's the reason Stotts was here for another several years because he saved his ass after the Pels series. Dame is a great player and a great leader, but he's a horrible GM.
