He hasn't won a title but perhaps 2 times he should have. Phoenix was beating the Spurs until the NBA suspended Suns players for barely coming off the bench. Players have come much farther off the bench than that and not been suspended. Then Houston was up on Golden State 3-2 before Chris Paul with injured.

I’d be happy with D’Antoni. He had some pretty good defensive teams with Houston and knows how to make your star guard shine like no one else. Almost had a championship run two times if it weren’t were unfortunate circumstances outside his control (Amare suspension/CP3 injury).
