We said that about Nate "Second Round" McMillan. And Rick Adelman did okay after he left Portland.

He hasn't won a title but perhaps 2 times he should have. Phoenix was beating the Spurs until the NBA suspended Suns players for barely coming off the bench. Players have come much farther off the bench than that and not been suspended. Then Houston was up on Golden State 3-2 before Chris Paul with injured.

Yeah that is a fair point. I guess it wouldn't be so bad afterall, but I don't think he would be my first choice, but it wouldn't be as bad as I thought originally.

So if it's such a Portland move, why did San Antonio hire her as an assistant first and why hasn't Portland hired a women to be an assistant coach since the Spurs broke the mold?

Also, what makes you think she's be able to lure him away from LA since he *left* where she was on the coaching staff?

Rick Adleman was a significantly better coach than Stotts was. Don't compare the two even in a hypothetical manner.
