With HCP you can take your pick of either cool or knowledgeable. Some people think he is one, some the other, some think neither.

Feel free to have your own opinion and share it - no matter what HCP says. If he gets too ornery we'll have Sly talk with Mrs. HCP again and have him put in his place again.
