Not an excuse. I know 70+-year-olds that have more energy than some youth!!

The bigger point was that the people who can offer help (in your scenario) are not A: qualified or B: sufficient in numbers.

The Bible is full of stories about depleted ranks having major victories and successes. Then, there was the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 with just a few loaves and fishes. I love that story.

Oh, and Jesus also said:

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

~John 14:12

And Luke Skywalker turned Darth Vader back into Anakin.

Why do we talk about Illegals like they aren't people? That's what bothers me. They're talked about like they are lower than us because their mothers expelled them out of their bodies in the "wrong" place

I read this far and thought of babies coming out of their mother's noses.

My generation I don't quite understand I have friends who have chosen to be homeless and live in downtown, or their cars because they and I quote, "don't want to work".
bingo...its true.
A buddy of mine a couple years back rode his Harley from Fort Worth up to Portland and he commented on how many young people that are standing around, doing nothing, in the downtown area of PDX.

It would be better to tax churches and use the money to help the homeless.
Tax churches on what? Most churches' expenditures equal (or exceed) their collections. If they do have a surplus, they increase their expenditures. Unlike businesses, they don't have "profits" to tax.

Are you one of those freedom of sneezing folks?

That's correct. So why do you support a guy who thinks of the issue in a very simplistic way?

barfo

Because even if I only support him on one issue...it's the correct stance.

Right to life.

Sorry, just to clarify - you are saying that you are a single-issue voter, and that support of banning abortion "trumps" any and all other issues?

I'm saying that, as far as I know, he's the only candidate who supports complete right to life. Yes, that's a critical issue to me. That certainly doesn't mean I don't support many of his other stances. I do.

So, you're willing to tell women that they have no right to determine what goes on in their bodies.
Personally, I think most of us would like to see the necessity for abortions go away. However, until that time, I think ordering a woman to carry her not yet a developed human being to term is counter productive and will lead to back room abortionists and mangled up clothes hangers inserted to affect the desired effect. The counter productive part really bothers me.

Yes I'm against abortion. However, I'm more FOR educating our youth about the many risks of unprotected sex, and the emotional pains (yes, they do exist) of aborting their babies.

I don't think Trump is for those things.

I'm not sure if he's even aware of those things, given that he has unprotected sex with porn stars.

You sure you are backing the right horse here?

I like the overall Conservative belief on the matter. We do have Congress. Which reminds me, I need to be reaching out to my Representative on a few things.

BTW, if the opposite of pro is con...then what's the opposite of progress? ;)

Nothing bothers me more than “Christians” who don’t act “like Christians” are “supposed” to act. GTFOH.

Probably Because they strike me as the most “holier than thou” of the lot of them. “He/she’s a good Christian”, “do unto others”, “thou shalt not lie”, “that’s a sin”...fuck outta here. It’s a shield that people use. It’s a lie. It’s an insult to those who DO abide by the values of being a Christian. Atheists don’t hide behind a book. These dipshits who are from the Bible Belt who support Trump are the most hypocritical bunch of fucksticks on earth.

I suppose much of life is a matter of perspective and I certainly have no intentions of trampling on your perspective or looking down on your opinions.
I see a lot of hypocrisy in all world-views including my own, heck I let myself down sometimes. In terms of hiding behind a book, doesn't everyone justify their actions with something? Whether its a book, their own arrogance, someone else?

Anyways, I should probably not belabor this point as you've said your peace.

There is no such thing as a good or bad Christian. Either your Christian or not

Sure. But you hear people make the statement “good Christian” like it’s an automatic thing. It’s not. These frauds deeply believe they are Christians. They go to church, they say all the right things. But don’t act like it. Are they not Christians?
