How exactly is that question fickle? I wasn't saying dame was a bad player. I wasn't saying he should be traded. I was merely curious if people thought CJ was a better player overall. Comparing players on the roster happens all the time.

I don't have any problem with sports commentators calling out stars to perform better, but doing it on the heels of Dame's first game back after missing 7, especially when it comes against a team that plays as stifling of a defense as the Grizzlies, is just stupid. I know that he wasn't just talking about last night's game, but jeez, pick your spots when you're going to do a critique.

That said, anyone who didn't expect Lillard to be less efficient now that there's no interior offensive threat on the Blazers' roster either was deluding themselves or doesn't know much about basketball. Because so much defensive attention is focused on him, and because he's expected to provide 25 ppg or so of the team's offense, he's taking some shots that he wouldn't otherwise take. If you mention Steph Curry and want to see Lillard produce at a superstar level of efficiency in that neighborhood, then you'd better get him an interior scorer.

It probably wouldn't have happened if CJ wasn't on fire with him out. Dame comes back, both he and CJ looks like crap, and we lose. CJ was 1-7, so it's not like Dame was taking shots away from another hot player. For better or worse, the Blazers' offense is structured around making 3s. The Grizzlies were making damned sure there weren't many open ones. Rough game to make shots anytime, but especially your first game back from a foot injury.

I feel quick has a history of allowing players to influence his writing. I think he's a good writer, but holds a grudge and seems quick to bash a guy if he's not getting the attention he thinks he deserves. He seemed to do a quick flip on Aldridge towards the end. I wonder if dame rubbed him the wrong way, or stopped talking to him as much to get him to be negative about him.

CJ has turned into our SG and cemented the position. Dame now needs to turn the scoring reigns to him. CJ should be our leading scorer this year. Dame should focus on assists and defense. He will score when needed, but it isnt needed near as often now. Stop chucking 3's with 12 seconds left, drive to the lane and find the open man for the assist. This should be his main objective this year with CJ breaking out.

If he doesn't want to conceed the scoring, then we will have a problem. Ill give him the season to figure it out. He is smart and I believe he will.

The same thing I been saying. Let Cj lead the team in shooting and scoring. Dame should be averaging around 19-20ppg with solid percentages and 8-10asts.. His chucking is annoying

That seems very reasonable. As someone mentioned, the timing of it wasn't great as it was his first game back but he hasn't shot well in quite some time and the TO's seem to come in bunches now. His defense has never been great although I think it is somewhat better. He is a very good leader, a stand up guy, a great personality....and he can certainly ball. He is a star but has never quite been a Superstar and if that was the bar, he has certainly fallen a little short but he can be incredible at times.

I don't think this is anyone turning on him but actually being non-homer journalists and asking a legitimate question or bringing up a valid point. It's certainly not to say 'he sucks' but I'm sure many of us have questioned why he jacks up 28' jumpers with tons of time on the clock. We all love Lillard Time but it just hasn't shown up that often for it to be reason to just jack up bad shots.

The whole dynamic on the team has changed from his first two seasons. He's THE MAN now. He is the focus of every defense. He has less weapons around him. He has also been dealing with injuries since last season. His shot selection needs to improve, but I think it's a little early to be throwing him under the bus.

Dame is not soft his confidence is not going to waver after one terrible game but he does need to adjust the way he attacks the offensive end when he and cj share the court they did not play well off of each other last night. Its not the end of the world but it wasnt fun to watch them struggle to play together.

Ill attack this, because this relates to an internal family issue I have.
Basically my sister and I are practically on non speaking terms even though I love her four children. The problem is, She is a lazy, jobless mother who cant get organized, prioritized and teach her children any type of responsibility.
I have criticized her many many timers, trying to let her know in different ways how unhappy I am.
The only rebuttal I get from her OR my mother is why cant I just love them for who they are. Why do I have to be so hard on them? Well the reason is this...
I know I will end up supporting the two youngest children here soon as she becomes homeless. So not only am I harping on her because Im not really interested in becoming a foster parent, but she is my Sister!! I love her!!! I want her to be better!!!. If I didn't care, I wouldn't say shit.....

Those who are fragile, thin skinned, etc, cant handle criticism and get most butt hurt when it comes from those who they know. They think their friends, family, acquaintances, etc, think nothing of them, when its actually the opposite. The reason we are kicking you in your ass is because we care.
