Talkin ball panel calls out Dame (1 Viewer)

Ill attack this, because this relates to an internal family issue I have.
Basically my sister and I are practically on non speaking terms even though I love her four children. The problem is, She is a lazy, jobless mother who cant get organized, prioritized and teach her children any type of responsibility.
I have criticized her many many timers, trying to let her know in different ways how unhappy I am.
The only rebuttal I get from her OR my mother is why cant I just love them for who they are. Why do I have to be so hard on them? Well the reason is this...
I know I will end up supporting the two youngest children here soon as she becomes homeless. So not only am I harping on her because Im not really interested in becoming a foster parent, but she is my Sister!! I love her!!! I want her to be better!!!. If I didn't care, I wouldn't say shit.....

Those who are fragile, thin skinned, etc, cant handle criticism and get most butt hurt when it comes from those who they know. They think their friends, family, acquaintances, etc, think nothing of them, when its actually the opposite. The reason we are kicking you in your ass is because we care. Now get off your ass, grow some balls and become productive!!!!

Chzbrgr is absolutely right.
The key is talking shit. Are you doing it to those around your friend or to your friend? If you respect your friend you tell them to their face. If you dont, then you spread the rumors and them....

I am an east coast, in your face type of guy. Tell it to me like it is please... who gives a shit about my feelings.....

I wish more were like that....

Damn east coasters....

the thing that bothers me is his shooting %.
most all star players average a lot of TO's because they have the ball a lot.
I was looking at top players FG% and there are a lot of guys around the same FG% as dame.
basicall 43% and lower were players like:
harden
paul George
Kyle Lowry
MIKE CONLEY
melo
isiah thomas
gordon heyward
jeff teague
oladipo (39% yikes)
kyrie irving( 39%) ill give him him a pass since he just came back but thats bad
demarcus cousins

a lot of those players are known as great team players. some are considered smart, efficient players( conley, Heyward). this made me feel better.
i thnk the game is just changing witht he amount of shots being taken in a faster tempo NBA. 41% is unacceptable for dame but its not as bad as 41% use to look.
he needs to get up to atleast 43% by the end of the year and i think he will

It's the threes. I think that's what bothers people the most. When he goes 2-10 from deep, that annoys people. That and HOW he takes those shots. If he would cut down on the quick threes from 30' out, I think people would calm down.

Yeah i agree but hes also shooting 28% from between 3-10 ft.......that needs to be much better

Well, all right then. I've been meaning to speak to you about your ridiculous, over the top, homer attitude that's always on display in your posts...

I really like that about you. ;)

Thank you, thank you.

Ive been the first to admit im probably second in homerism, but Id never dethrone the King. ;)

The only one who could dethrone Kingspeed is Mags. Those two could have a homer-off and I don't know who would win.

I can't believe this. People are actually bashing on Dame. You have to step back and look at the hand he has been dealt. I've said it before, I'd rather HIM shoot a fast break contested 3 from 25 feet with 20 seconds on the shot clock than 11 other guys on this team shoot a 15 foot uncontested shot. I can live with our bet player shooting whenever and wherever. Because scouts and coaches from the other team would rather have it the other way around I promise you.

On a team that is really built to fail/tank this season ($20 million or whatever under the salary cap).

All the while talking about what "he's about to be paid"

Sorry he's not Steph Curry but that Talking Ball Panel can go fuck themselves.

DeMar Derozan is shooting a 44%.

So you cant be honest with your friends about something when you think theyre fuckin up? Thats what youre SUPPOSED to do with your friends and the things you care about right? So they can get better?

Theres a difference between giving constructive criticism when needed and constantly going over the top with negativity.

Unless the constructive critiscism is disregarded, further frustrating the critiquer. Then it starts to become... Clean up your shit man!!! tired of bringing it up. WTF??????

Dame and Westbrook are players in NBA that are in top 9 of points and assists. He has our team in the hunt for a playoff spot despite all the new players on the team. We're only a couple games behind Houston and they made the WCF last year. If Dame isn't an All Star, then Harden shouldn't be one either.

But when I say that I'm a hater lol... smh

How about NONE of them "...shoot a fast break contested 3 from 25 feet with 20 seconds on the shot clock.."

I'm too lazy to look this up, but what is his TS% compared to the other marque names?

Personally I am OK with a slightly lower FG% because I know he gets to the line a bunch. The TS% is what I care most about.

Here's how CJ and Dame compare to some of the top players in the league this year in TS%:

This isn't a complete list. Just some of the all-stars and top names.

Overall, CJ and Dame are pretty solid in TS%. Only a couple of notches below Chris Paul, and a couple of notches above Mike Conley and John Wall.

Man, Stephen Curry is good.

I re-watched Talkin' Ball and Quick started the whole conversation off with, "Damian gets a pass" (for tonight). He was talking about his shooting for the season which seems fair. Dame is shooting 41% from the field (that is the same as Luis Montero and just barely ahead of Noah Vonleh) and it seems reasonable that you can at least question that as 'not great'. Of course Dame is the focus of every teams defense but if he is that much of the focus, they were suggesting he be more of a facilitator and as most of us would agree, take better shots.

They also all referred to his as the franchise so it's not like they were trying to tear him down at all but rather the seemingly legitimate point of him needing to play better as the franchise guy. They pretty much all agreed on the point and Orlando Williams and Isaac Ropp pointed out specific areas of need so it certainly wasn't all Quick.

I don't watch that show but glad others are noticing. That 41% FG percentage is not pretty
