Tank for Wembanyama

Maybe I am having a hard time figuring this out but if the Bulls lose their next two and Dallas loses their next two, and then the Bulls lose in the play ins... won't they split the 10th/11th odds and have a coin flip decide who gets the higher of the two picks if neither jumps into the top 4?

Since both teams are playing tonight -> one of either the Bulls or Mavs HAVE to win. Therefore both teams can not loose their last 2 games.

I will laugh really hard if Dallas looses tonight to solidify their spot at #10 (to keep their pick). Then during the lotto, they get jumped by another team, thus slipping to #11 pick and loosing it.

Yes
(Except they play each other tonight.)

well, you won't be laughing nearly so hard if the team that jumps the Mavs also pushes the Blazers to 6th pick!

Wizards win!! One less team
We showed our tanking abilities will not be matched last night... don't get me wrong I'm not counting chickens before they hatch but we obviously are very aware of the importance of not winning any more games.

Number geek show us where we stand.
I was wondering if you've ever heard the word tank out of the mouth of a player or coach and if so, have you heard them say something like that this season?

You don't need a numbers geek we're the only team in 5th in the lotto as long as we don't take a W in these last two games.

If you want numbers that go with that, we will have a 48.1 percent chance to move into the top 4 and a 10.5% chance to get that number 1 Wemby pick. To get really technical we also have a 10.5% chance for the 2nd pick, for some reason 10.6% for the 3rd pick, 10.5% for the 4th pick, only 2.2% chance to stay at the 5th pick, 19.6% for the 6th pick, 26.7% for the 7th pick (our highest odds of any single pick), 8.7% for 8th and 0.6% for 9th.

you meant 42.1

Wizards win, but IND somehow loses to DET, and ORL gets blown out by BRK. Both Indy and Orlando's next opponents have locked in Playoff seeding so may rest a lot of guys. Both games are on the road, but it looks like the Knicks and the Heat will have no reason to try to win that final game. Golden State is 1 game up on the Clippers, but if they finish the season tied, they split the season series so goes to Division records where the Clippers will finish ahead. The Clippers vs Suns is at the same time as the Blazers vs Warriors, so they won't know ahead of time like they will with the winner/loser of the IND and ORL games.

Looks like they may have to finish 0-2 to get that #5 spot.

Team certainly has a lot more sense as far as keeping quiet than Kidd and the Mavs.

what a dumbass win by Washington though.

Unseld tried to tank it, but just not hard enough. The players didn't buy in and Wes didn't do enough to counteract it. Fans in D.C. are pissed.

Daniel Gafford, while being great for my ripcitytwo fantasy team, has really driven the tracks off of their tank.

I just hoping to draft a guy with AS potential. Wemby injury potential terrifies me. Wont get him anyways so it is better to think who to get at 5 imho.

I think you haven't checked out the odds on where we are likely to pick. If you don't think we have a shot at the first pick, we're half as likely to end up at 5. I think the safest way to not let yourself get disappointed is to expect that we won't get any of the guys in this draft because we'll trade the pick but if you want to dream of guys who have never played a minute of NBA ball then look at who is projected around the 7th pick since as a singular destination, it is the most likely landing spot our pick might find.

Is anybody banking on Wemby?
Nah, just crossing my fingers and hoping against my better judgment. I'm banking on top 7 but if we get unlucky even that could end up with disappointment but it is what I'm banking on.

These salty fucking Magic fans are saying we’re tanking… like what the fuck are they doing? And the wiz? And the pacers? And the Rockets, Spurs, and Pistons…..
