What time on July 10th will we be able to execute our trades?
 
I would assume late, since the July 1st was pretty late wasn't it?
 
12:01 EST on the 10th the moratorium ends. We're probably one of the first to do so, since HOU and NOP need the space to do their other business.
 
I believe it's go-time now. July 10th on the East Coast now. Free agency started 9 Pacific June 30th.

don't know, but we're working on getting one finished in Helmand Province.

Really? It doesn't matter what time it's done by any team on that day. It's for the full day. LMAO!!! It doesn't matter who is "first" to get in their requests.

Remember when the Blazers lost both Hibbert and Batum because Minnesota got in their offer to Batum 12 seconds before Portland's fax got into the league office?

Yeah, neither do I. How NateBishop3 ever got past that embarrassment last summer and still has 'credibility' is a bafflement.

I do believe certain moves must be sent in first (like moves to clear space for signings).

Remember when that had nothing to do with the timing of getting things in at the end of the moratorium? So long as a move gets to the league office by the end of tomorrow, the actual timing doesn't matter.

We wasted an entire week last summer with me schooling NateBishop3 on this when he was in pant-shat mode about Minny getting in their offer to Batum prior to Portland getting in their offer to Hibbert (which never actually happened, anyhow).

Please tell me that somebody has learned the rules of this by now.

not impressed with OLive, nor much what shows up on that site. especially Jason "i can't get a fact right to save my life" Quick. incidentally, "Quick" isn't really his name ... just his wife's nickname for him!

Of course. But HOU can't, for instance, sign Howard today and say "oh, we're planning on opening up that cap space by trading Robinson to Portland tomorrow. It's in the works!"

Of course not, but there is a 24 hour window. The actual timing doesn't matter as long as it's done tomorrow. The CBA allows for each day to be a 24-hour window to be received at the league office.

Did you REALLY miss this entire discussion last summer when NateBishop3 was clowning himself by talking about fax machines? Should I pull up that thread yet again?

no; no personal feelings. just don't think he can stick to the facts. totally botched the Aldridge "wanting" out of Portland thing.
