Now go find quotes from coaches speaking poorly about other coaches. Good luck -we don't often do it. We praise everyone but rarelu have a critical word to say about our peers.
I found quotes already.
How about you go find one that counters this one-
“The No. 1 overachiever, far and away, when you talk to anyone out there,”
I'll wait.

The forum pretty much known your stance regarding Stotts and McCollum. You pretty much state it in every thread regarding them.

Similar attempted intimidation can be said against your side. Stop wasting my reading time with your bullying.

One thing that you have to consider is that both offense and defense take continuity to develop to their top level.
I made this argument just a few days ago and the same people just don't seem to see this.

That’s ludicrous. Coaching is a fraternity and nobody is going to talk “out their ass” about another coach. Similarly players, for the most part, don’t delve into providing criticism of any coach unless they’re angling for a trade. It’s a slippery slope for both coaches and players to comment on the competency of a peer or another team’s coach.

What I have heard, especially in the last five or six national broadcasts, is that the Blazers offense is very limited and iso-heavy. Phrases like “it’s very simple” and “they run the same play every time down the court” are commonplace now during nationally televised Blazers games. It’s only the local homer broadcasters that refrain from this critique.

Other than Lillard and McCollum, who out there is calling Stotts an offensive genius? Rick Carlisle (?) while he absolutely destroys Stotts’ game plan?
Funny those things were never said when they won 4 straight nationally televised games?

Kanter, Hood, Nurk, Ariza, etc. all came in mid season and were fine on defense instantly.

This also doesn't explain how with basically the same team as 2015-16 in 2016-17 they were historically bad on defense with almost complete continuity until the Nurk trade.

Um No. That is just plain false.

No bullying on my end. Just stating a fact. Feel free to put me on ignore as obviously you're too weak to have the discipline to ignore my posts. If you have a problem with my post, feel free to contact the mods. :biglaugh:

Portland fans are the most immature I've run across. To them, the Blazer Coach is Daddy and they're terrified of a divorce. Every other team sees the Coach and GM as temporary, not lifetime, appointments.

You need to have guards that want to play defense aggressively, on a consistent basis, like Wes Mathews did here, under Stotts. We've seen GTjr. demonstrate he's willing to play it aggressively.
Dame has improved and even CJ can play passing lanes fairly well, but neither are of the Type Wes was or guys like Butler, Leonard etc.
The the addition of Ariza has helped much like Turner D play.
If Collins & Nurk return and can really D up, along the the development of Little, couple with GTjr and maybe the addition of another 2/3 defensive player (next year) I believe we will be improved big time. But Dame and CJ together back court is not an aggressive pair defensively, and probably would remain the same regardless who the coach is.

Huh...
Not too sure about that analogy, dude, and not too sure how you possibly could know how "Every other team..." views their head coach and GM...
I'd start with Miami and San Antonio.

Name one poster who has said they expect Stotts and Olshey should be lifetime apointments.

Is 15 minutes enough time for you?

Naah, I won't obey either of your commands. I don't even know where the Ignore button is, or the board rules (there weren't any till you guys showed up). I've never clicked on either.

yeah, that's pretty much what I expected. All mouth and no

Name one team which whines for a decade about changing its coach. Gotcha! Proved ya wrong.

Sure, you're almost never going to have a gainfully employed NBA coach bad mouthing another NBA coach. But they also don't have to say effusive things they don't actually believe about other coaches. Coaches usually don't comment on other coaches at all, so there's plenty of room to say nothing about a coach you consider substandard. The comments made by other coaches leave me with the impression that Stotts is a well-respected and well-regarded coach within that community.

I have no doubt you can find glowing comments about Nate as a coach from his peers.

I think the way certain players treated Nate was despicable, but I'm not sorry the Blazers moved on.

I was skeptical of Stotts when he was hired, but he has won me over with his success.

This season is just a massive clusterf***. We knew the first 20 games would be tough as the players developed chemistry. No one saw this team becoming the 4077 during that time. Popovich or Phil Jackson couldn't have won this season with these injuries.

Glad to hear Stotts is staying.

Also, our team has always been a much worse in defensive transition than they should be. Maybe somebody has stats that show differently, but it seems to me weve always struggled defending in transition.
Cleaning the glass has great stats on this...

*Ranks are based off of their PTS+/POSS metric which is an estimate of how many points per 100 possessions did the opponent add through their transition play.

Someone please point out if any of the TNT guys say Stotts is an inept coach.

Nothing in the pre-game, 1st half, or halftime. They must be saving all the juicy content for the second half.

When I watch the other team's broadcast, they often smirk at Stotts' defensive choices on a couple of plays.

Other teams show their announcers smirking? That's odd.
