As the SNL players quipped, "It's Tebow time!!"

I like Joe Biden, but what question was he answering?

Is Biden being coached to smirk, roll his eyes, and shake his head while Ryan's talking?

Why did Paul Ryan want to be called Mr Ryan instead of congressmen Ryan?

Not saying that to make a point, I'm just curious.

Perhaps, he's intimating that it's one step closer to being called Mr. Vice President? :dunno:

Seems weird, but I guess that could be.

Biden was on a roll....now he seems to be getting riled. Never let them see you sweat, Joe.

Took him 25 minutes to hit the 47%, and Obama didn't even sniff it.

(I'm a bit behind on this since it's on DVR)

Biden seems to be tossing the Intel Community under the bus on the Libya consulate attack.

He says that "we knew we didn't know (whether it was a response to a video or a terrorist attack), and we said we'd get to the bottom of this." However, when surrounded by caskets, they seemed to intimate that it was b/c of a video. At the UN speech....on Meet the Press and the like, it was b/c of a video. Even in the hearings of the last couple of days the administration's reps didn't say that they thought one thing and then came to a different conclusion later.

"During a crisis, we pull together..."

I think this style of debate is much better than the last one, but about 90% of is due to the moderator having a bigger set of balls than Lehrer had.

Liked Ryan's response about "apologies"----sure, we should apologize for Marines urinating on dead Taliban bodies, and for Korans being burned by troops on the ground. However, we should not apologize for Americans upholding American values in America.

...which is awesome considering she's a woman. ;)

I'm not sure I like someone asking the next Vice-President (whichever one it is) to be specific about what the country's military policy on Iran is going to be.

I agree (about the values thing), but I'm not sure if pissing on dead Taliban bodies or burning Korans is an American value.

yeah, that was a little odd.

Does anyone know if Ryan gets access to material from classified meetings b/c he's a Congressman, or the VP candidate? He's pulling out a lot of not-necessarily open-source material in this question about security and Iran, and I don't know if he's just been able to process a lot of stuff in the 5 weeks since the nomination, or if he's been working it for a while.

I agree with you. Yes, apologize for stupid actions by our soldiers in your country. No, don't apologize for free speech in Portland.

I think, after a certain point, the candidates (non president non vp) get the same classified information that the President and VP do. I'm not sure when it does happen.

Is Ryan getting his ass kicked?

agreed 100%

LOL: "These are the most crippling sanctions in the history of sanctions" - Joe Biden, channeling his inner Bill Walton.

My immediate reply: "And since those crippling sanctions aren't doing anything to stop (or even slow down) the behavior you're sanctioning them for, then what?"

I highly disagree that Iran has no weapons system capable of utilizing the enriched uranium.

"they're spinning the centrifuges faster" - Ryan. I know what he's saying, but spinning the centrifuges faster isn't what's happening.

lol not that it matters but paul ryan comes across very unlikeable
