Ultimate tank trade. Those who are pro tank, I need your opinions:

POR gets: Jones, Murphy III, Horford, Nesmith, Sateransky, 2022 LAL 1st, 2 BOS future 1sts, 2023 2nd (HOU, MIA, or DAL) from BOS, 2022 SAC 2nd from NOP, 2024 NOP 2nd

BOS gets: Powell, Lewis

NOP gets: CJ, Zeller, Brown, Snell

I can see NOP being like BRK and overpaying for CJ, and they really need size right now, so Zeller as a throw in would be good for them as well. If you want to lose, take on Horford’s contract and try to get as many 1sts out of the Celtics as possible. Horford is only owed $14.5m in 2022-23.

Team after the trade (with Dame out):

Simons/Smith Jr
McLemore/Nesmith/Sateransky
Jones/Little/Murphy III
Covington/Nance/Watford
Nurkic/Horford

McLemore gets a 2nd. Covington at least gets you your 1st back. Nurkic hopefully gets a 1st back from a team like Toronto.

With the vets gone, that team should most likely be a very high lottery team right? But with Simons, Little, Jones, and Murphy III getting a bunch of minutes though, I’ll be tuning into as many Blazers games as I can.

So theoretically, if we let go of all the vets, we could have our own 1st/2nd this year, all of our own 1sts in the future, as well as 5 future 1sts and 4 future 2nds.

I'd rather land a recent first-round pick center and hope he blossoms to be what Jarrett Allen turned out to be.
Players like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, James Harden at this point in their careers don’t care about lottery picks. They want to win now. They don’t have time to be waiting on young up and coming players to blossom.

yeah I’m almost certain that if/when the blazers get a lottery pick they will trade it for an established player. If they get a top 3 pick they may just use it for themselves, but other than that I wouldn’t spend too much time on prospects.

Wonder what the asking price is on Mo Bamba. He’s a RFA after the season. Should be cheaper than Turner both in contract and asking price.

Mitchell Robinson same thing. I like both as backups. I don’t like only having small ball options behind Nurk. Zeller will be a free agent, hasn’t been able to stay healthy, and wasn’t that great of a fit to begin with.

I like the idea of a 3 way with Charlotte and Orlando, send nurk to hornets, kai Jones to Orlando, and bamba here.

Is it true that the pelicans have a 17M trade exception? They could absorb Powell if so..

Josh Hart, Herb Jones, Trade Exception, oh my!

they’re also far enough under the tax to where they could absorb Powell and they’d still be under. Dunno what I’d ask for in return but I’d be happy with just a first if it meant dumping his entire contract.

If I were Indiana I would give up my lottery pick for Simons. Just sayin (not team trade Ant)

Simons straight across for Herb Jones? Guy looks fantastic like Ant plus he's a rookie with two more yrs left on a great at 1.8 mil per! Big time D, PF/SF and shooting well from 3 too. I'd go hard after this guy - perfect fit for this team and Billups

Usually BR is just stories of people making suggestions. Didn't see this one specifically, however, to confirm

The title was, "Blazers are interested in Bagley..."

The article compared him to Watford and showed Watford was the better player

Looks like the "rumor" is Bagley and a pick. Suffice to say, Bagley is the matching salary, and the deal would be about landing that pick.

Yeah

For Covington

Try out Bagley and see if he fits

He is a free agent this offseason.

His cap hold sucks

But, we could let him go and walk away with a 1st and probably get our pick back this summer to pay for what we paid for Roco to begin with. That said the pick we owe Houston then moves to next year and on until it conveys.
