It amazes me how much you overvalue our scrubs...

Meyers can take the ball on the 3-point line and drive for a dunk. He has special potential. He has Center size and Small Forward skills. We need to find the right way to use him but if we do he isn't much different than Porzingis everyone is so in love with in New York, he is also stronger and maybe more athletic. He's our best offensive weapon in the frontcourt and he gives us more options without hurting the fluency. He needs to learn to play Center, learn to play Power-Forward and when he does he'd be worth the 60 mil contract he turned down

Meyers is worth keeping around just for the fact he is one of the better floor spacers. Meyer's is one of the few big men who can make sensational passes - Not a fairly common combination. I think its the little things which have kept him around and earning minutes. Things like often making the right passes and rarely making the wrong ones, and being a reliable floor spacer.

He's is in pretty rare company. Of 7 footers in the league who make at least 1 three pointer a game, Meyers ranks 3rd in 3 point percentage and second in both makes and attempts. Notice @MickZagger's pick in Kelly Olynyk at the top of the list.

If he stopped letting people beat him on the baseline he might be a decent enough defender to deserve minutes. But until then we are better off playing Vonleh since he can give you something on both ends.

btw, has any center ever gone from the 3 pt line and slam it down before? Regularly? because... if you want meyers to be a center (which he never will be) than that's never happening.
