If he doesn't, I will.
Just watch it if he pats you on the back. He might be whiting out the "d".OKay, note to self... Pat Stren down prior to entering the Moda. Never let Stren walk beside or behind. Always ahead. Never turn my back on Stren.
Were on. All good. I have a month of practicing!

"Hey, Orion, please, after you... no... I INSIST.... No, THAT is not a pen in my pocket. YES, I am happy to see you!"
Yes it was. It was reported that it was tender and he was being treated for it. But he insisted on playing. I don't know how much rest he would have needed, maybe several weeks? No way was he going to sit for long due to soreness. That's just Wes.I'm not really sure what that's referring to? Was Wes' Achilles bothering him before being ruptured? If so, I don't remember that.
This seems like an appropriate time to share what my wife got me for Valentine's Day:Just do this to your jersey Orion, maybe with crayon.

You could look at your dog barking at strangers as a sign they're bringing you a Publisher's Clearing House check for a million dollars. I'll err on the side of reason.

Wes has to grab that contract. It would be short sided and stupid to play for cheaper.
Why will no one respond to the point that taking less for one year could have netted him as much or more with the new salary cap? Ironically, ignoring that is what's short-sighted.
"A bird in hand is worth two in the bush."Why will no one respond to the point that taking less for one year could have netted him as much or more with the new salary cap? Ironically, ignoring that is what's short-sighted.
Because as his play has shown, if he did that, the next contract would be a league minimum or something.
I think he took the money he did because it was much of an insurance policy as it was him betting on himself being a quick healer.
What's the fucking beef?
I doubt that. Everyone but Wes expected it to be a year-long injury. Why would the team he signed with for less for a "rehab" year hold that against him once he had worked his butt off to get back to his expected level?
That doesn't exactly address the question... Anyway, why should anyone feel sorry for the guy getting public backlash if he signed a huge deal as an insurance policy? That doesn't exactly make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
I've got no beef with Wes. Why do people keep asking that without responding to the initial question that started all this: Why sign a contract that you can't possibly live up to, in the process becoming villified by the fan base, when there was a win-win alternative?

Clearly, this.Because as his play has shown, if he did that, the next contract would be a league minimum or something. He made the best choice possible under the circumstances...
