Because poor white Americans were kidnapped from native land, enslaved for centuries, subjected to discriminatory laws based on skin color, disproportionately imprisoned, expelled from school, shot by cops, lynched ...

My mother was from Georgia and she taught me that you called truly reprehensible white people "White Trash".
