Raptors and Kings are near agreement on a deal centered on Rudy Gay, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

LOL

Gay and Boogie on the same team? That's going to be rich.

Yeah, not sure what good this does the Kings. Maybe they want him to opt out (he has 19 million coming to him next year, I doubt he's opting out)

If Sac is blowing it up in a manner of speaking, maybe we could get Isiah Thomas from them.

Isaiah deserved the starting role anyway.

Aaron Gray... now there's a name I haven't seen in awhile.

I guess Sac is in "win now" mode.

Thomas
McLemore
Gay
Williams
Boogie

That's not a bad starting five.

I think they're actually doing the opposite. They had a lot of good role players that could be quality depth on other teams, but lacked good starters. I can only assume they view Gay as an above average starter, even if most of the rest of us do not. Seemed like a classic case of trading multiple solid guys for one better player.

I was saying Isiah Thomas should start anyway, so it gets him into the starting unit. Their team does not fit together well at all, but they seem to be consistently making moves to add better talent. Fundamentally I think they're right to make moves to add talent even if the pieces don't fit right. But I agree with most of you that trading for Rudy Gay probably isn't the best way to turn the franchise around.

The Gay cousins era begins!

Anyone else not really impressed by OKC beating Indy? Schedules matter. "Back to back vs SA" plays "day off and playing at home."

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

The mamba 0-3 in 7 minutes and -12.

Love how they've been pushing this Kobe come back ad nauseam, and now are hyper critical he's only got 5 pts in the first half of his first game back. lol

When he got blocked and fell over and took his time getting up like an old man... I almost felt sorry for him.

Lakers getting a come back without Kobe on the floor.

Hint to kobe. :)

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

Lakers cannot win with Kobe. Not the way he's playing right now.

Toronto's offense looks horrible. They've run the same exact play 4 times in a row.

0-4 on those plays. lol.
