Man, I wasn't expecting better than the other day, but was hoping. Guess not.

Not having a PG on the floor never helps. Very ugly to watch

Connaughton is a dead man walking. Guy has gotten absolutely torched on defense for 3 straight games, and can't buy a jumper.

Anyone got a link for the game to watch online?
NBA.com says - This game will be unavailable due to national blackout restrictions.

That's the dumbest thing ever. It's a summer league game in Las Vegas and they are blacking it out in Portland. I'm watching the game on NBA TV in Portland. So why black it out online?

BNM

I believe somebody point this out, but Layman is atrocious at finishing, especially if he's bumped.

And some of you guys wanted to play in multiple summer leagues? 5 games will be more than enough.

I think what we wanted was to compete in multiple leagues. We're not competing. In fact, we're not competent.

Every year one of our main players gets dinged up, or so it seems. And then we are left with players who won't make the team.
I still think 5 games (Maybe 6) is enough.

Yeah and Swanigan just posted 19/13/1/2/1 and is averaging a double double in summer league
What should have Neil done ? Pulled a 2nd round pick out of his ass ?
Considering some GMs throw them around like candy, then yes, he should have picked one out of his ass. I know we couldn't offer cash for the picks, because we spent all of our money on the Nurkic deal, but offer a future 2nd or multiple 2nds. This guy has All-Defense written all over him and he was there, ready to be drafted and now the rich get richer and Bell gets to learn from the DPOY ...

Yes. We should have moved future picks for a second. Maybe a wink wink money exchange later on too.

I question if this is true, or just a ducks fan being a homer.
I asked this question shortly after the draft because I have very little interest in college basketball and don't know.(I maybe catch 2 games of college ball a year)
No one answered.
Did the Ducks sit in a zone for the majority of their games?
I don't remember a single possession in the tourney(2 games I watched) they were out of that zone.
If they did I have serious questions about Bell being that great of a defensive player against NBA talent.

Jordan Bell just posted a 5x5 game tonight with 6 blocks ... Thanks again, Neil.

for the SL, at least the vegas one, he is averaging 5 points a game. Not saying the game he had today wasn't nice, but let's pump those brakes a bit. I know that he won't be called on to score in GS, but it's not like he's lighting up the summer leagues here.

And it's not like Neil got a 2nd round draft pick and went "you know, I think we're gonna take the skeleton of Dolph Shayes".

Oh no! Not Jordan Bell! (insert any player that Golden State could have drafted in the second round)

What a Blazer killer!

The Ducks played various defenses in most games to confuse the opponents. But relied a lot on a match up zone. So Bell often guarded a man one on one when that man had the ball.

Not sure why it is a factor though. Not getting an opportunity to do something in college, vs not being able to to do it.....are two different things. Bell showed in the combine he can move extremely well. Combine that with the desire and energy to be a good defensive player and it bodes well at any level. (on the defensive end)
