I wish we had Nick Nurse man... They move the ball so much better than they used to and their defense is constantly adjusting to the situation.

All ball my ass

If Toronto is well coached (which I don't disagree), who gets the blame tonight? This second half looked A LOT like the second halves in Game 2, 3, & 4 of the WCF with the exception of Toronto having more talent.
This is why the whole "blame the coach" is mostly bullshit when talking professional basketball players. They know what to do. Do they get confused or make wrong decisions? Of course. So do coaches.
John Calipari, Jay Wright, Roy Williams???...Those guys dictate the games.

One game isn't the theme. I haven't really watched this game.

I love how we're so rigid that we still play drop scheme against Golden State's screens and meanwhile, Nick Nurse is throwing a box and one out there... Lmao.
No Klay helps but smart move nonetheless

It's not bullshit. This post is bullshit. The players are the ones that are supposed to do the complicated task of scheming and preparing for opposing schemes...?

"He didn't lose the ball, it was great hands by Draymond Green who deflected it"... Uh, okay Mark Jackson. Draymond made him lose the ball...

First points by either team in over 3 minutes.....ugly

Really hope Toronto comes back to win by 1 after that haha.

Nurse making multiple defensive adjustments in one quarter! What a concept!

touched gasol but off green's fingers

You always foul in that situation... Get the ball out of Steph's hands and foul...

I think more or less this is correct. In most games you have 2 of the best coaches in the world trying to out scheme and maneuver each other. There are so many factors involved that it is hard to determine how much of a teams failure or success is due to coaching, talent, roster makeup etc.

There's no doubt to me that blaming a coach takes the least amount of critical thinking. When you watch your favorite team 82+ games a year you are able to see every flaw that makes a coach or player less than perfect. No different than you see more flaws with your significant other than you do your second cousin.

Wow, what a bunch of mental mistakes by both teams at the end. Toronto fails to foul with only a 3 second shot clock differential and Iggy tried to bail them out by taking a 3 with nearly 9 seconds left. Lucky for GS the shot went in!

The Raptors made too many mistakes.
