The 30th pick cleared 4M for Milwaukee this year. 12M next year. 16M total but most of the savings are deferred.

Could 25 move Turner's 18M this year?

Unlikely. Detroit probably valued Snell as a player too.

Is that Pelinka? It looks like Rob Lowe on "Parks and Rec."
Every time I see Pelinka I think.

This is why I have a problem with Rich Paul being involved in all this. It is in Paul's and Davis' best interest to take the 4.1 mil trade kicker and tell Pelinka to kick rocks if asked to waive it. But the conflict of interest of repping Bron means that he prolly wants Davis to waive it.

Just wrong on so many levels.
I have no doubt that the plan is to compensate him for his work on Space Jam 2 to make up for the trade kicker which AD will waive. It's total bullshit.

I'm going to be pissed if the Pelicans give in and let the Lakers wait until July 30th. There is absolutely no reason from their perspective to do that. The Lakers agreed to a trade and shouldn't be allowed to change the parameters because they didn't have the foresight to plan ahead.
And if LA lands a third max player, it would effectively de-value the picks they got from LA in return. Ridiculous for LA to even broach the idea of going back to re-do the trade now.

Who cares? Like really... Who really gives a shit? Y'all are making a big deal out of nothing.

Guys have declined money before to give their team cap space. I get that's an interesting relationship for Rich Paul because he's been best friends with Lebron most of his life, but if he's not acting in Davis' interest why wouldn't Davis fire him?

I do. Because it is a form of collusion and makes the discrepancy between market advantages even bigger.

No it doesn't. I'd bet it happens all the time when an agent has 2 clients on the same team.

AD has a choice to take the 4 mil or not. His agent would be giving him advice in this area. The agent also has a stake in AD winning.

Taking the 4 mil would create a situation where they couldn't get someone due to cap space. LeBron or not, there are pros and cons for RP to have his client take the money or not.

You mean like when Boogie didn't come here because he and Nurk were repped by the same agent and it was a conflict of interest for both sides?

It wasn't really. You could look at it both ways. I'm sure Nurk had something to say about it and spoke to his agent to make sure it didn't happen.

The same way Lebron could speak to his agent and say "hey try and get him on the team" or "we need that 4 mil to help build out the roster".

Again, this shit happens all the time. People are just now up in arms about it.

Here's variation of that Love to ATL rumor that i believe @RR7 posted yesterday:

It's messed up.

How is that even remotely the same?

They both play the same position. They both need minutes. They both are starters. Putting them both on the same team benefits neither of them as they would harm their numbers and receive worse contracts in return.

And it sucks for them because they are both plodding big centers. It’s not like you can just put DMC by nurk like you could AD.

People get all up in their feelings about LeBron, Lakers and Rich Paul now.

It isn't the same. That's what I'm saying. What happened with Nurk/Boogie/agent is what normally happens when there's a conflict of interest.

If Kevin Love pulls in two lottery picks - wow.

Nvm: Noticed they're also sending out 5. Weird deal.
