This is great for Portland.
Lakers dont get a super team. There are 7 teams in the west now who have a shot at a Title, and the Blazers are one of them.
Blazers have The best center tandem in the conference (Huge to have an advantage like that).

Literally means if Simons, Zach, heck even Little pop this year Blazers might be holding events in Pioneer square that arent just for winning the draft lottery.

Jokic / Murray
Dame / Nurk / CJ
AD / Lebron
PG13 / Kawhi
Curry / Green / Thomspson
Harden / CP3
Conley / Gobert / Mitchell

Just wow!

Then some up and comers with talent like Dallas and Sacramento just nuts. The NBA season and Playoffs should be more exciting then maybe ever. Im so pumped!

With the addition of Jimmy Butler, you’d have to imagine the Heat are interested in getting a team around him.

I could see them trying to poach Lowry AND Gasol from the Raptors. Something like Dragic, Waiters, Winslow, Anderson, Okpala, and a future pick for them.

Spurs will make playoffs over Kangz
I am in love with the Kings. Like I love how every player on that team sans swanigan fits, they’re gonna frustrate teams with just speed, running, and scoring. I think they’re finally gonna be in the playoffs, Spurs, eh maybe they got Pops.

Seriously though, can we get some more stars out east? OKC should send Westbrook east when he demands his trade, same for Booker on the Suns... if I’m him I refuse to play with that fuckhole organization.

Nah, they fucked their team up overpaying guys in free agency. They're not any better than last year in my opinion.

Fox is going to end up being really freaking good. Hield has started to figure things out. You can crap on Barnes contract but he’s good in transition and hit 3’s at over 40% clip last year.
Bogdanavich is a very good back up 2. Bagley I still think has untapped potential too, but basically that whole team wants to run. Luke Walton I think will do good with a young team that wants coached instead of a Lebron who doesnt too.

I believe the Kings have potential and I consider them as a Dark Horse team. They can be dangerous if they buy into Walton's team concepts early on.

Paying $23M to KCP and Danny Green? Okay.... :smiley-pat:

that's a lot of money for role players. They have 9M more to spend, but so far it looks like they paid 23M for what they should got for 15M

personally, I think people may be counting the Lakers out a little too quickly. I know they are on thin ice with the health of Lebron and AD. But if those two stay healthy, that's a great pair of players and match-up nightmares.

so far, they have Kuzma, Dudley, Green, and KCP, so yeah, they have a lot of work to do with 8-9M in space, the room-MLE and minimum contracts

what's funny is that right now. both the Lakers and Clippers are both speed-dialing every remaining free agent

I realize Im probably crazy when it comes to the kings but I think theyve done really smart things.

I see them kind of like the Ducks with Chip Kelly, never got the best recruits, never won a championship either, but they had some success by just saying we arent going to be able
to out talent everyone, we cant get guys to come here were just gonna have to pick what we want to be and go with that and focus on getting guys who fit what we want.

They arent championship material, but I think they’ll surprise people in the regular season, heck maybe Im dead wrong, but I really like them.

If it wasn't for Phoenix, Charlotte, NY, and what happened tonight I might say that Sacramento had the worst off season in the NBA. I absolutely hate what they did with all that cap space.

I like them as well. I like seeing a team rise up from the ashes as the underdog and make some waves. It'll be interesting seeing how Walton develops plays centered about his young core in Hield, Bagley, and Fox.

Sacramento gets about the same pick of the crop as portland does, I mean we can agree to disagree but I liked there moves for the most part.

For example, they could've been the team that took on guys like Iggy and Harkless who are similar to Ariza and picked up future 1sts that they could've used to trade for a better big man than signing Dedmon.

When really good players/vets are taking bargain basement deals it makes ZERO sense to overpay guys like Barnes, Ariza, and Dedmon.

Id rather have Barnes and Ariza then Harkless and with Iggy I dont know, Im not sure he fits not a very good shooter I dont think he wants to be on a team thats going to run a lot either.

Oh and no way Barnes opts out if they didnt have some sort of deal in place so they actually got him to take a pay decrease for next year, while hoping he can maintain the 40% 3point shooting going forward.

I'd take Harkless and Iggy with two future 1sts over Ariza and Barnes 10/10 times.

Arizas like an old Harkless, mediocre offensive player good on defense. Barnes is the best player of the four at least right now. The picks sure wouldve been nice but just saying they couldve gotten these picks doesnt mean that those deals were ever realistic.

Like I said we can agree to disagree, I really like what Sacremento’s doing, you don’t. We will find out if it works out for them or not by if they finally make the playoffs.

I don't think lurking the L*kers forums will ever get any better than what's going on right now. Lmao. Oh, it's wonderful to see so many of their fans take a collective shit in their pants, all at once....
I think beyond just it being the Lakers what frustrates me and would have really bothered me is if they ended up with Kawhi / AD and / LBJ the message is loud and clear you can run your team like a clown show and it’ll be ok your the Lakers... I still get that feeling just with AD / Lebron, but it wouldve been real hard to swallow if it was all of those guys.

Edit: Seriously the Lakers ineptitude is so bad that they basically traded an entire roster of lottery picks and all their future assets for one player because they kept screwing up...

That's pretty much their fans take on the situation. Even blaming Phil Jackson. Lmao....

"Magic and Jeanie could go to hell. This is all their fault for turning Jerry West away last year. Short sighted drama queens! Bunch of idiots"

"When Phil Jackson was in his 1st yr as coach of the Lakers Jerry West found out about Phil’s intimate relationship relationship with Jeanie. West took serious exception to it. West thought it was entirely unprofessional of Jackson. Jackson took offense to West & their relationship was entirely toxic. Jackson cursed out West in front of players at one point. And of course Jeanie was Team Phil so she turned against West too. Jerry went so far as to blame Phil for West leaving. Fences haven’t been mended."

And then there is an actual intelligent guy there too....

"The meetings were freaking a ruse! Some speculated that he's waiting to hurt the Lakers chances to get a FA, but it's worse than that. The guy was working with another player to force a trade, while hurting us at the same time. Whoever came up with the plan, executed it perfectly, and our guys thought Kawhi's team was listening to them in good faith. It's a long con done to perfection.

Man, I need an entire summer to recover from this."
