I wonder if the Suns would deal 6 for Wall, even with him likely out for another season. When he comes back Wall, Booker, and Ayton would be a good trio.
I don't think Wall is ever going to be good again, could be wrong, but I don't know if I would risk it.

I wouldn't take on a risk with a player after he injured his achilles. Especially a player earning as much as Wall. Too risky.

Who would be the most over paid poster on S2 if we were the NBA? Most overhyped? Most under appreciated? Most valuable?

 Worst deal in NBA history?

4 players have been given the supermax. Curry I understand. Harden - I can understand if I turn my head and squint just right. Westbrick - not so much. Wall? Even if healthy, what has he done to deserve a deal like that?:dunno:

Worst deal among Curry / Harden / Westbrick. And absolutely terrible timing for them.

They are stuck with his contract. This is where an amnesty clause would help a team in their position. Perhaps they will think about adding that to the next CBA.

If I were to do odds I’d say (don’t know how else to do this but rank):

1. Toronto
2. Bucks
3. Rockets
4. Warriors/Sixers/Blazers
7. Nuggets
8. Celtics/Thunder/Jazz
11. Clippers/Lakers/Nets/Knicks
15. Pacers/Spurs
17. Mavs/Kings

Bringing in Jackson as coach and installing a new offense proved to be pretty significant.

Wall has the worst deal now, imo

Not exaggerating. These Knicks didn't use to be these Knicks. They actually had good players and resources and made so many splash moves that they killed their ability to respond to any personnel adversity.

So, you trade CJ, Nurk and two of your next three first-round picks for AD, who decides he doesn't want to sign with the Blazers after one year in Portland. The Blazers let pretty much every other free agent walk this year and next to get AD on the roster. Dame, now really almost 30 and being forced to do everything to keep the team close to the eight spot in the playoffs, gets beaten up. He starts missing more games from injuries. By the time he's 33, we're always drafting in the top 10, but our ownership no longer is putting money into a team that's not competitive.

Kind of what happened to the Knicks that put them where they are now, except they kept trying to buy wins. They panicked year after year.
But a competent GM can still put pieces around Dame and AD. Hell, Ujiri doesn't have a single lottery pick on his roster. Get lucky with an undrafted free agent like VanVleet or a 2nd round pick like Ginobili or Green.

Make some good vet value minimum signings like say Vince Carter, Robin Lopez, whatever PG we can find like a Tim Frazier, Corey Joseph, Trey Burke, or Jeremy Lin. Convince Hood and Kanter to stay. Re-sign Aminu and Layman.

It is possible to make a big trade and still bolster the roster around Dame and AD.

You have to hit them stats hard.
better start with the like to message ratio.
We got some pretty outstanding posters that get very little respect.
Then of course we got our Russel Westbrooks.
There is a couple sitting with ET numbers.

You been around long enough to remember us old school guys losing like 25K likes like I did? Few years back they changed the format on here and they all went away....... FAMS

Random thought. If we are able to retain Hood...
the Harkless/Aminu tandem starts-no-more. With a full training camp, I think Rodney starts.

Dame/CJ/Hood/Collins/Nurk (Biebs*)
Ant/ET**/Harkless/Aminu***

I actually am pretty excited by this.

*Until Nurk returns
**Cringe
***Yes, I think Aminu returns, and as a bench player, I think that's a good thing.
