Here's variation of that Love to ATL rumor that i believe @RR7 posted yesterday:

Oh, that's interesting. I actually kinda like this from all teams involved. Charlotte isn't the greatest place for Love but they're desperate right now. I'm assuming Atlanta would have to take on bad contracts from Charlotte (Batum maybe?) but getting to move up from 10 to 5 in this draft might be well worth it. Atlanta would be guaranteed to get either Culver or Hunter on the win to pair with Young and Collins plus they'd still have picks 8 and 17. Cavs can commit fully to their rebuild once they get Love off their books.

It isn't the same. That's what I'm saying. What happened with Nurk/Boogie/agent is what normally happens when there's a conflict of interest.
The Nurk/Cousins thing was more due to the fact they were both free agents. With Nurk being restricted he wasn't getting traction for a big deal and I think their agent felt like he'd be pressured into taking the QO if we got Cousins. I think it worked out fine for all involved.

I’m saying where is the conflict of interest here? There isn’t one.

It’s in everyone’s best interest for AD to waive his trade kicker to acquire a third all star.

Rich Paul wants AD to win championships too, not just LBJ.

You’re looking at the 4 million in a microscope. If it was Meyers Leonard — ya. Bad advice. Not the case here.

Winning championships massively helps ADs brand, marketability, and promotional partnerships.

I would even go as far as to say that it is in most players best interest if they are a top 5 player to not take as much money as possible.

See: Brady, Tom
See: Nowitzki, Dirk

The original big 3
The heatles

They all took less money and I doubt it hurt their brand.

I can see why the Hawks would do that. I can see why the Cavs would. They are pursuing very different theories about how to approach this draft, but both are defensible. The Hornets need to go home and lie down until they sober up!

OK what is this delayed sign-and-trade I'm reading about between New York and Golden State?

"For lack of a better term, it would be a delayed sign-and-trade," said Windhorst. "Because this is the only way Durant could get five years and play elsewhere. I'm just going to be honest with you: the Warriors going for this is a bit of a last ditch effort to not lose Kevin Durant for nothing. And what he would get out of it is an extra $57 million.

"Now you'd have to trust the Warriors that they would actually work with you in a trade, but it has at least been discussed."

It would not shock me if the Blazers traded for Frank Ntilikina tonight cause he is a project player that the Blazers love to take a gamble on but if it's not the Blazers my prediction is he ends up in ....... Boston ---
