With Kevin Love's return, the Timberwolves have contacted the league office to change their logo:

Parsons and Melo each had 18 points in the first quarter. Wow. The Rockets produce fun and exciting games.

Carmelo was unprofessional as he let Houston get a fast break dunk while he argued with a ref. Idiot.

Memphis Grizzlies back at #1 in the NBA with a 106-98 win over the Lakers that was never in doubt... :ghoti:

Darrell Arthur also made his return to basketball after a year and half on the IR. He played sparingly, but he figures to be one of the first options off the bench by the season's mid-point, and it was great to just see him actually on the floor again. He's been on the sidelines for a while, but he's actually still only 24 years old and has a lot of potential left.

I don't want to be that homer guy, but look at the next three Grizz games - Cleveland, Toronto, Detroit - all at home.

I think it's looking like the Grizz should be a league best 12-2 heading into December, with wins over the Heat, Thunder, Knicks, and Lakers.

To be honest as much as I hate to say it... the Grizz look like the best team in the west at the moment. I hate to say it because of the Darius Miles BS from a few years ago. STILL MAD! but seriously grats on having a GM with the balls to put 3 blackholes on a team (Mayo/Gay/Randolph) and turn them into team players.

I completely forgot about that Miles thing. I was naively thinking that we'd get to see a great Darius Miles career revival or something at the time. That was pretty shady though.

As far as Z-Bo, Gay, and Mayo go, I wouldn't really say that the three worked out. Mayo was a disaster for the Grizzlies. He was really addition by subtraction for us this free agency.

Rudy Gay is in the same vein as Mayo. I am completely convinced that the Grizzlies could have made a Western Conference Finals run, at the least, without him. I think that if we just traded him for future prospects, it'd be addition by subtraction. He may be leading the team in scoring at the moment, but he's a still a very poor, inefficient decision maker. He's still a black hole. If you give him the ball, it's likely going to result in one of two things - a Rudy missed FG or a turnover. I'd gladly trade Gay to ya'll for some low-risk assets, but I'd doubt ya'll would even accept.

The one thing that has really benefited Z-Bo more than anything is Gasol. Playing with someone who is capable of making pg-like passes in the paint to Z-Bo has done a lot for not only Z-Bo's game but his unselfishness. He's been vibing really well with Marc. They seem to feed off each other perfectly, and Z-Bo has become a great post-passer in the process. I think that's what really makes us deadly. We have great perimeter D, and both of our bigs are unselfish with high bball IQ's. That's pretty rare in today's game, and it gives even the teams with the best defensive frontcourts problems, because they're not used to bigs who'll pass like Marc and Z-Bo, both of which can score in the paint or the mid-range.

Great post. I remember, in the 2003-04 season, we moved Sheed from SF to C and brought in Miles at SF. Starting frontcourt was Miles/Zach/Sheed. They played GREAT together. Won 8 of 10 games, they were on a roll, and then Sheed was traded. Sucked cuz those three were really developing chemistry like what you're talking about.

Watching this Cavs/Heat game...... Cleveland is winning in the 4th without Kyrie!

OKC lost again tonight! I wasn't joking about the road and travel taking it's toll on teams!

Mavs look a lot like 2009-era Blazers. When the jumpers are going down, sweet. When they aren't (and Ron-Ron is going for 4 threes in a half on you), then pack it up and warm up the bus.

Harrison Barnes may have just had the sickest dunk in the history of the NBA!

It was OK. Basically uncontested.

Um, it was good, but until he does it in the playoffs, over guys actually trying to block it, he's still behind AT LEAST Starks (over Cartwright and Jordan) and Kemp (over lister, double-finger-pointing, Kevin Calabro going nuts).

A dunk is a dunk! Summer league, Olympics, playoffs..... I don't give a fuck if its up at the park. And Kemp's dunk was over Chris Gatling and it was NASTY!
