I drove the Bricky Rubio train this summer.

It's true that he couldn't hit a barn with an elephant with his jumper but....

His ability to run an offense and his Stockton-esque one-handed passing is top notch.

Bigger liability: Rubio's scoring or Lillard's defense? I think it's close.

I like how he starts out strong in the first, sets the tone early. Lillard, take note!

He really isn't. Look at his numbers, as of today he's a Steve Nash level defender.

As he gains experience I expect (hope?) him to be a lot better down the road.

Rookies are seldom good on defense, though you do expect this to be somewhat less applicable to top shelf perimeter player rookies.

I wouldn't worry about it yet unless its a question of lack of effort.

So apparently it was much ado about nothing:

"Bledsoe will miss Tuesday's game against the Bobcats with a left calf injury, the Orange County Register reports."

Not sure why the box score would list him as DNP CD though.

He does have great hands and anticipation. But I'd rather have a guy who gets fewer steals but isn't a complete liability fighting through screens and staying in front of his man. And its one thing to not be able to stay with a guy, its another when your average screen creates 15+ feet of separation between you and the defender.
