THE "OFFICIAL" AROUND THE NBA 2012-13 THREAD...........

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

Two of the all-time greats are coming into their primes right now, together, yet most of the attention is going to LeBron rather than Dwyane.

I wonder if Wade will be remembered as LeBron's "Pippen," or if he'll go down as something more than that.

With that said, playing in the East makes these feats a little easier. Check out their upcoming schedule -

Philadelphia
Milwaukee
Toronto
Boston
Cleveland
Detroit
Charlotte
Orlando
Chicago
New Orleans

The only team in that bunch that'd be a Western Conference playoff team is Chicago, and they're really not even that threatening. Until they play San Antonio, Miami would just have to lose their focus to drop a game.

Miami has a larger margin of victory against .500 teams during the streak, they easily lose their focus against weak squads.

I saw it on ESPN.

Their footage was better. Btw, does anyone find it ironic that Bruce Bowen is saying you shouldn't walk under someone when they're shooting?

Dude made a career out of doing that.

Good that I wasn't the only one who noticed the irony in Bowen here.

Lmao! So tucking true

Larry Sanders getting ejected for giving a thumbs up to all three refs tonight lol

Damn there goes the LMA -Sanders trade. Larry will never get another fair call by any officiating crew ever again after showing them up. I would offer Joel for him though.

Oh, I so love that. Sanders rulez.

Sad thing is that the foul he was complaining about was actually legit.

That's either a biracial gay porn video (and knowing HCP...)

or that guy is popping the biggest zit on the planet.

Damian Lillard ranks 10th in the NBA this season with 34 games of at least 20 points.

Damian Lillard has recorded his 4th 20-point, 10-assist game. No other rookie has even one such game so far this season

nbastats

JJ Hickson (36) and LaMarcus Aldridge (30) have now combined for 66 double-doubles, the most by any teammates in the NBA this year.

Lillard is 13th in the NBA in scoring at 19.1 ppg. He's gonna blow up next year. All Star for sure.

Even if this is his ceiling, I'm in total mancrush mode with this kid, and will love his entire career.

13th in scoring, 10th in 20+ point games, and arguably pass-first. That's why I said in the other thread I think he's already better than Roy at his peak. Those numbers indicate a top-10 player in the league. (I'm ignoring defense, since Roy was nearly as bad in that respect, just he had the luxury of being hidden off the ball.)

Here's the list (this year) of players with at least 1 24+ point, 7+ assist game. This is where Lillard stands, imho: http://bkref.com/tiny/SOHrS

Who does he replace?

He'll be duking it out with Curry.

Yeah it's gonna be tough to make the all star game next season. Maybe Parker gets the boot? I think the snub on curry will be a shoe in for him next season, unless he just stinks it up.

But if lillard keeps this shit up, how could you not?

The placement doesn't seem far off, but arbitrary cutoffs like that always cloud matters. I certainly wouldn't say Lillard has surpassed Durant and Wade! But I would take him over Holliday and Jennings.

A lot of it is going to come down to record, if we start out the year great and lillard continues his rookie season numbers (lets say 25-15), I see the coaches overwhelmingly put him in the game. Since its changed to a G/G/F/F/F setup the real locks ahead of him are Harden/Westbrook/CP3/Kobe, after that its going to be a fistfight with Lillard having a chance to get a lot of that media attention that seems to drive the vote.

It's arbitrary, yeah. I mean, Wade and Durant aren't scoring facilitators (this year) necessarily. So this is just one aspect of being a great player. But for Lillard's player type, he's definitely in that range of 8-16.

This list: http://bkref.com/tiny/UiExb which counts only wins in the total count, moves Wade up to where he should be.
