Lebron's getting too old to play PG for a whole game. His defense has fallen off big time this year too. I mean I understand why Laker fans would get excited about that but I just think they'd have trouble maximizing all 3 of their abilities.

Playing PG doesn't mean you have to guard the ball. :dunno:

Yes but assuming you have LeBron, Durant, and Zion in the game with a SG and a Center then he's almost certainly going to get stuck guarding either the PG or the SG. Any other year prior to this one I'd say no problem for LeBron but he's starting to slow down.

Edit: For example, if that team was playing the Blazers he'd have to guard either Dame or CJ.

Rondo or Lonzo would play... They'd have a guard.

Okay, so Rondo guards Dame. LeBron would have to guard CJ then.

That's exactly my point.
You could have just about any of those guys come down and set up the offense though. Also even if Lebron has trouble staying in front of a guard they have the length to make up for it.
Also how do the Blazers or anyone really stop them from scoring?

That sounds like bad coaching. I'd put KD on CJ personally.

Obviously they'd be fine offensively.

Sure Durant might be able to check guys like CJ a few times but to have to play that way for 82 games I'm sorry but they would be worn out by the time the playoffs came around. KD will be 31 next season and LeBron turns 35 in December. Playing that way for a full season would take its toll.

Are they not allowed a bench like the rest of the NBA heh?

I'm talking specifically about building your team around Durant, Zion, and LeBron. In my opinion you don't want your 3 best players (assuming Zion is legit) to all basically play the same position. Obviously they could scatter their substitution patterns and be creative with rotations. I just don't think they'd be that dominant. Now if they traded the #1 pick for Anthony Davis then maybe I'd be scared with LeBron, KD, and Davis as the front court, especially if they found a way to trade for a 3 & D guard to pair with those guys.

I hear you, but assuming Zion is legit, that's a heck of a lot of talent. Usually, talent figures it out in the NBA. I'm not sure what position Zion will even play in the NBA the 4 is my guess.

Zion is like the exact size of LeBron (just more chubby than muscular), besides I doubt LeBron would want to add another young player after this season. They'd for sure trade it like he did in the Wiggins draft.

Yeah, I dont know. Do you think Lebron is a pass the torch type of guy? He hasnt really acted that way. I think if they got the 1st they would trade that for AD, at that point it would actually make some sense for NO too.

Yeah, as stated above I think that is exactly what would happen.

Why would they trade it away? Lebron didn’t even make the playoffs this year (yes it’s a wrap) plus he’ll be 35 next nba season. 35!! He has what ? 2 more good seasons left if that?

The type of game Lebron has will drop off the map when age catches up. If anything I have no idea why lakers are being slaves to a 35 year old when he’s going to retire in a few years anyways

I could see them hanging onto him and then trying to sign AD.

The Rockets are peaking at the right time. They could still end up as the number 2 seed.
