Politics The OFFICIAL Biden vs Trump Debate #1 Thread

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

This is from Frank Luntz who had all independent voters in to watch the debate and measure their responses. This is why the media who has propped Biden up for years, is largely gently throwing him under the bus this morning.

The fear mongering we will hear in the next 5 months will be unprecedented.

And it won't change enough votes. It's all decided because of the shitbag that Trump is.

"When they show you who they are the first time, believe them."

“Step Aside Joe”: After First Pres. Debate, Democrats Reeling from Biden Missteps & Trump Lies

Joe, One and done...

12 of those undecided 14 people have bad morals because they may change their vote based on seeing things they have notseen before because the media has lied to them repeatedly for years?

Seems like there is accountability elsewhere.

I'll put it in a simpler way for you then.

The guy that "can't form sentences" still showed a far better grasp of the things a president needs to be able to do than Trump. What does that say for Donald Trump? He looked better losing to a guy who you said is too cognitively impaired to be president, but Trump still lost on policy, demeanor and grasp of the issues, just as he lost on the metric of what each accomplished in their terms in the office.

Trump lost to the guy you say shouldn't be president, ergo Trump is completely unable to be president, either.
Arguing with you is futile. You aren’t living in reality.

If you make the claim (you in the universal sense), the honus is in you to prove it.

That's not just a writing thing.
If you claim it’s false you adopt that honus. You now have the responsibility to prove it false because you’re the one bitching.
Someone can make any statement they want without any caveats. If you have a problem with it, you’ve now taken up the task of addressing it.
Laying on one’s ass and claiming “if you don’t do research for me, you’re wrong” is completely ridiculous.

the left was already going to vote for Joe. what the debate did was possibly shift the middle undecided voters away from Biden. The left might not still vote for Trump, but Biden did not help himself gain in undecided voters last night. It all comes down to7 swing state votes.

I'm the left. I ain't voting for Genocide Joe.

Where did I claim it was false (and no, that's not how it works. Read up on fallacies please).

Most people don't vote for the the best policies in american politics. Study after study has shown that. The DNC backing the worst candidate for the people that they think could win keeps putting us in really bad situations.

That's because people know they're lying. Bernie was ahead of Hillary and Trump by 20 points at one point. Because they believed in what he was saying. That's the difference.

If you refer to him as "Genocide" Joe, and act like it's his fault, you are both not "left ", not are you a serious adult.

Early results, few people say they are changing their vote after debate, of those who are, it's split pretty evenly in both directions.

Let's not act like Trump was brilliant. Focus groups show independents moving away and Hispanic voters big time moving away from Trump after debate.

Biden can't win the electoral college if they're split evenly. If the DNC goes ahead with Biden it is suicide. I don't believe he'll be the nominee.

They tend to vote who they find most attractive. I'm not sure how that relates to this race though... Or any of the last two presidential elections, as far as that goes.

I guess we're electing geezers because that's who the parties think boomers will find attractive?

My loyalty is not to a garbage political party. I am a progressive. He is literally managing a genocide and millions of other Americans feel the same. You are not a serious adult if you put party before humanity.

Nothing was said about party loyalty or anything.

He's not managing a Genocide, ffs.

The fact you're acting like he is is not the win you think it is.

Humanity is a lot more fucked if Trump wins. And I say that as an independent unaffiliated with either party.

Is it though? Bright side is he may fast forward the great reset we really need.

I'm saying this as an independent unaffiliated with either party as well.

lol... wow

I hate Trump and I've never voted for him and never will. But we've already had 4 years of him. It was better than the 4 years we've had with Biden. I don't put that all on Biden, but he has to take plenty of responsibility for himself.

We're literally going through a genocide and we're saying it's worse for humanity if Trump comes? Okay... That's not an argument that's going to get anyone to go vote for Genocide Joe. Sorry not sorry.

I didn't watch it but I seriously doubt Biden would have disappointed me. My expectations of him are so low.

I think Democrats have been hoping he would just die. Or maybe get elected first and then die.

It has felt like a mistake basing the nation's hopes on this guy for a long time. That said, the Democrats don't appear to be immediate threats to democracy. Biden had a far superior cabinet than Trump.

I have no faith in either Biden or Trump to do the right thing. I think Trump will try to f*** us every way he possibly can. And he'll have a cabinet that will help him do it.

I'm going to vote Biden because of his cabinet, and because I just don't think he is as evil as Trump. And obviously the state of the union is much better under Biden than it was under Trump.

But we need to do a better job. We need real candidates for the next presidential election.
It had nothing to do with WHAT he was saying…..it was HOW he was saying it. It was pretty sad man.

The fact that Biden stooped to the little golf game dick measuring contest in a presidential debate leads me believe he’s losing his marbles a bit.

That was very cringe.

Lmao at all the people for "humanity" who are at the same time advocating for elder abuse.

Congrats. You've lost the plot.

Starting to wonder if there will be a surprising number of people who just don't vote because both candidates are just not appealing for many reasons.

I'm voting, but I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people just throw up their hands.

We have a convicted-by-a-group-of-his-peers felon (and will be convicted of more), and a guy who is clearly having trouble down the home stretch.

And it's the most important election in decades if not longer. And I have no idea who this benefits more? Scarily, I think it might help the cult.

I will likely vote, but not for either of these candidates.

To be honest, the Biden voters are starting to sound like they're in a cult like the Trump voters. Two sides of the same coin with their delusions.
