You can see Stotts clipboard on that last timeout. The play was a lob to Matthews at the rim....for some reason. Second option was LMA in the post. Lillard wasn't even part of the play.

If the play breaks, I'd rather see Lillard shoot a 50 footer than LMA with a fadeaway on Davis.

This. I saw two players pretty well open to receive an inbounds pass and at least make a decent shot attempt, LA was already covered and they passed to him? Seriously poor execution there.

This was a tough loss for me. First time for back to back losses but Jrue Holiday just ate us alive. A real "trollers feast" of a game. Don't look forward to the threads I fear this loss will generate....get angry Blazers, get OKC with a knockout punch for once!!

Yep its a good thing Pels play in the east, oh wait they play the good teams in the west as much as us as well.

we're 9 games up on the 9 seed (MIN) with 51 to play.

Insurmountable? Nope. But I don't think that MIN, NOP or DEN are .170 Win% better than us. That's the difference between a .500 team and a 54-win team.

When the Blazers have their bench unit in with Lillard, they may as well just set a quadruple screen for him and let him shoot 35 foot 3 pointers every damn play. At least it we'll get the shot off and it won't be a turnover, and we'll be in position to get back on defense. If he makes 33% of them, that'll be like 50% from 2pt range and it'll be a lot better than the shit we're seeing.

I'm not sure that a defensive big coming off the bench will really do that much for us. The bench just needs to trade buckets with our opponents. It's our starters that need to improve their D, they play the most minutes and are the ones in the game in the 4th. Our pick n roll defense and help defense are atrocious.
