YesSo: you really think the Memphis third stringers were 45 points better than our guys last night?

That is exactly why I predicted 23 wins this season. This is unfair. Doesn't Billups know depression often causes people to sleep a lot?

Do you mean to 23 wins or to the end of the season? We might not even make it there.
But not always? And it's just the whims of the universe? So talent is just luck? Are you some kind of Buddhist?

Then why does this franchise hold onto a big 3 earning over 90 million? Why did this team trade away two lottery picks? You think we are trying to win games right now?
Bingo. 100% agree.wanting a new coach isnt about wanting to win more games this year, its about giving the young guys the best development and environment possible. i dont think its smart to keep chauncey because "we want to lose anyway'. There are teams that lose - a lot - with excellent coaches who know their role is to develop and prepare. They play hard, smart, in the right roles, positions, they know what to do, they are running an offense that is going to eventually be what they run when they are older/better, etc.
Ohhhhh shit….here we go! Watch your back!I don’t know where to post this but I can’t stand Danny Marang’s takes. The biggest apologist.

That's why I want Billups gone right now. They could even bring in a guy who wouldn't make a good head coach but could teach these guys how to play right. Work with some drills that might not help them win right now but would get them to rotate quickly on defense, and have some kind of rudimentary offensive plan at least, Work with the young guys on fundamentals and skill development either individually or in groups of two or three, wanting a new coach isnt about wanting to win more games this year, its about giving the young guys the best development and environment possible. i dont think its smart to keep chauncey because "we want to lose anyway'. The expectation is that the team is developing the young guys, but instead all I see is us getting worse and looking uninterested (especially Simons). Doesn't seem like they're developing good habits or even know what the fuck to do out there. If Billups has already lost the team, keeping him around does more harm than good regardless of how many wins you expect. You think we are trying to win games right now?
Who takes over then for Chauncey that will develop this young talent? The expectation is that the team is developing the young guys, but instead all I see is us getting worse and looking uninterested (especially Simons). I don't know, that's the GM's job. I liked Stotts, didn't want to get rid of him. I personally don't mind Billups either but it's clear that change is needed.Who takes over then for Chauncey that will develop this young talent?
This was the point during Stotts tenure where people kept typing, “Anybody is better.”
Somebody with a great record of developing players. There are plenty of people out there. Plenty of guys overseas, as well. I'd be alright with Stotts, frankly.Who takes over then for Chauncey that will develop this young talent?

vets aren’t competing anymore. They acted the part to start the year - pathetic. RWill3 being our energy right now is a scary thingLast night's performance we one for the ages. Certainly the beginning of the end for ol' Chaunc. Pour a 40 out for our homey. It may not be today, or tomorrow, but the writing is on the wall. Yes, the idea is to tank, but there's no development or improvement. Players look lost and disinterested.
What strong developmental coach would you bring in?
No thank you. Nate's offense was all ISO when he was here... that was horrible.Sarge has a rigid methodical system. It doesn't matter whether it's the best system. The young guys need to learn any structured system. Presently, they aren't learning anything because inexperienced Billups has no system to teach.
Slow learning is why Billups' playing career improved at retarded speed. For 5 years, everyone was surprised at how coach after coach got nothing out of him, a very high pick. When you read the famous Rick Pitino quote of "Bird, McHale, and Parish aren't walking through that door"--that was caused by Billups' not developing. Reporters and fans thought Boston wasn't playing to its expected talent level.
Billups coaches (and talks) as he played the first 5 years. It took several good coaches to structure him. It doesn't come naturally to him.
Sarge is the opposite, the most disciplined Sonic I ever saw (I remember the rookie 25 assists in a game on the radio). Whether he has the best system possible is irrelevant. We need a system. THEN we can critique it and improve it.
