Arizona has about twice the population and about twice the senior population (1 in 5.83) as Oregon (1 in 6.15)...

I'm not a mathematician or anything,
but I don't think those ratios mean what you're implying they mean...

At the risk of going full ABM here....Some people claim that there's a woman to blame, but I know
it's nobodies fault....
 
Already lost my vaccination card...... had to go back down to the Convention Center and luckily they issued me another this morning. Assuming it will become as important as a passport in the future.

The Latest: NY offers lottery scratch tickets for vaccine

NEW YORK — People who get vaccinated at select state-run vaccination sites in New York next week will receive a lottery scratch ticket as the state tries to boost slowing vaccination rates.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the pilot program at 10 state-run sites will offer prizes from $20 up to $5 million and run from Monday to May 28.

The governor says there’s a one in nine chance of winning a scratch ticket prize in New York, which is joining states like Ohio that have similar lottery incentives. About 43% of New York state residents are fully vaccinated.

When I got my second shot I forgot to bring my shot card so they issued me a new one showing both vaccinations. By the way, you can get several shots free from the VA. You only have to have a good conduct discharge to get free flu and Covid-19 shots and I'm not sure but maybe the shingles and pneumonia shots. Get a VA ID card, they are free, and away you go. Just go to the VA hospital, I would park in the P2 parking lot, tell the guard you have business at the VA so he doesn't think you're using that parking area to circumvent the tight parking at OHSU, use the elevators inside the auto sliding doors, go up a short ramp, make a right turn and take an elevator to floor 1. Voila (viola for ABM) your about 20 feet from the information desk. You'll have to go thru a very brief screening and wear a mask that they'll provide. You can't bring in a guest other than what's necessary during the Covid-19 pandemic. My wife goes with me since she pushes my wheel chair.

That's true for the true addicts. And this is why I've always been against gambling anywhere except Nevada. Nevada is far enough away that most of the addicts just don't go. All these Indian and other casinos and those state run video poker machines and scratch tickets and even lotteries are bad bad bad in that they perpetuate addicts and drive them into poverty. I wouldn't be against lotteries if they could and would control how much an individual could bet. A buck or two here and there, okay.
My mother had several bad bad habits. She went relentlessly to Spirit Mountain casino and my estimate is that she probably lost well over $100,000.00. One time she was in the high rollers section betting on a five dollar machine. I saw the she was hitting repeatedly where the bet was $15 on each pull of the handle. When I told her she said that she would just lose the balance and then quit doing that. She wasn't happy with taking the $50 balance, no, she wasn't happy 'till she lost it all. One time I pleaded with her to leave and the fucked up manager came over and said to my mom "Do you want me to throw him out?" I hate casinos and he is the archetype of the type of ass working in a casino that I hate. She also had trouble with buying useless junk sold on TV. My wife and I got so much junk from her that we had to pay to throw it away. Then there's here generous gifts to those in our families hooked on bad drugs and alcohol. She started with an estate worth about $4 Million, adding in an income of a little over $100,000.00/yr and in ten years whittled that down to less than one Million dollars in value when she died. Of that she left me $40,000.00. She left the rest to useless family members and most of it went to two useless people, one a drug, alcohol and cigarette addicted cousin $400,000 and the other an ex con friend of my brother, a brother who passed away nine years earlier, %50,000.
Am I a little bitter about my mother's memory? Take a guess.

Sly, go back and look. 10X a day this kid post the worst outright negative doomsday tweets. I literally stopped reading his posts. Then when they find out that they were all bullshit, he never comes back. Just onto the next one. During all this shit, we were stressed out enough without this dudes daily blast of negativity. Go look.

Yes, a few are negative but most are on target and I would say that he means all of them to be objective. I have no complaints at all.
