Yes, south of Volcano National Park. The Big Island has something for everyone, including temperate zones for those of us who aren't into hot weather. And real estate (depending on where you want to be) is amazingly affordable. Especially on the "wet" (Hilo) side of the island. Way less touristy too. Island time is seductive.......

Our spot is the super secluded north shore of Kauai. NO PEOPLE! Love it. Will have to try the big island out one of these times.

Watched a video with BG on the geological origins of the islands. Kauai was especially interesting. If you aren’t aware of the story you should check it out. It birthed one helluva tsunami.

I used to play hoops and swim at Black Sands Beach until the Volcano took out the beach and Queen's Bath.....that's beautiful.. I frickin' love Hilo side.

I come from a long line of lousy photographers...most of my family photos are like this..blurred..not centered, etc...
