Went camping and paddling up at Lost Lake for my birthday this past weekend. Went out on to the lake at night to watch the super moon rise over Hood on Thursday, as well as the meteor shower. Got a few decent shots of Hood from the north.

I love Pittsburgh. Such a nice bland of old and new in the downtown. Also a big fan of Carnegie Mellon.

I've read recently it's a cool city...I think I always had a bad impression of it because of the "rust belt" desert that is in that neighborhood but I've never been to the city...been to Lancaster as a child but that's it.

If it has those nasty rain storms that I saw in Erie, no thanks. That was awful. I thought I was equipped for driving in rain being from Oregon. We don't get whatever that was.

I don't want to live there. But it is a lovely place to visit. (Well, I thought about going to CM, but I had a more lucrative work offer which required going somewhere else).

I once saw a perfect meteor arc over Haley's comet from my vantage point near Hood River on a clear night. Awesome, awesome, awesome.
